I hadn't seen any previews for this show and just happened to stumble upon it. I actually really enjoyed show, and was pleasantly surprised. While the situations in the show may be somewhat unrealistic, it reminds me of some older movies depicting shenanigans at camp. If you don't sit and criticize a fake TV show for being "unrealistic," it's quite enjoyable to just sit back and enjoy the character development. It's obvious they tried to make the characters cover a wide range in an attempt to appeal to multiple ages, from high school, to college, to middle aged. Character development seemed to get off to a promising start. I find myself looking forward to next episode and hoping they continue to reveal more about characters' pasts and different sides to them. Most of the situations set up for future episodes didn't seem to promise emotional drama (except possibly one), but instead seemed to imply chances for the characters to grow and form relationships in future episodes. This show may appeal to more of a slightly younger crowd, such as myself. As always, though, it is difficult to predict if a show will continue its promising start. I thought the first episode left the door open for a show that I will enjoy watching in the future. I hope they take it in the right direction.
My wife and I appened upon this little gem by accident way back when it was new.. decided to give it a shot and enjoyed its entire season. Sadly some dolt killed this series.. a big mistake as is easily seen by its IMDB rating alone.
It could have been better sure but nothings perfect and in our opinion it easily was worth the time spent
Suffice to say the series is worth the time to watch for a light hearted laugh and while it is not currentlyly avail on bluray etc etc there are some sources still where the entire 1st season can be ound with a little digging. :)
I also advise everyone ignore the retentive rantings of reviewers like "reapersgames" whom obviously needs to get out more and spend less time worrying about what others do and more introspection oh his/her own obvious failings.

It's about a little summer camp run by Mack Granger (Rachel Griffiths). It's a quaint place where people return year after year, and no cell phone is allowed.
If there is one problem, it's the lack of diversity. It's understandable since this is filmed in Australia, but they really need to try harder. The show is a full of hormonal kids and hormonal Rachel Griffiths. It's a sudsy soap and it works great on that level. The acting is first rate from Griffiths as usual, and also the lead Tom Green.
This was an NBC summer replacement show, and got canceled after only 1 season of 10 episodes. It had passable ratings for a summer show 0.8 in 18-49 for the final episode. By comparison 'Crossing Lines' got a 0.4 in their final episode on the same network. Chances are the different production structure saved 'Crossing Lines' and got 'Camp' canceled. It's a shame. This show deserves another chance more than 'Crossing Lines'.

Not bad at all! Stumbled on this show while I was online with my Comcast account. The show feels down to earth with a little bit of everything happening that everyone can relate too. The young and old actors seem convincing in there roles with some funny moments and serious moments. To be realistic tho how far can this show really go. Just like any TV show out there, having a good cast is one thing but it's the creative minds of the writers and producers that will make or break the show. I like the show and hope it goes far because for some reason I've been glued to every episode so I'll just sit back and enjoy the show. Keep it up!
This new little NBC series is funny, and cute it's all right for a summer series it's light and a little sexy. As many can remember their teen years when they fell in and out of love and plus hormones were at a rage! "Camp" takes place at Little Otter Family Camp with a group of kids who while spending a summer learn about life, sex, and love. And also a few hot scenes are found of sexy teenage girls making love for the first time! Heading up the camp is a mom(played by the strong and tough Rachel Griffiths="Six Feet Under" and "Brothers and Sisters"). And thru it all tough love will conquer all as each week life lessons are learned. Anyway nothing of a major watch it's still fine to see the sexy Rachel Griffiths at work again, still check "Camp" out for some feel good fun.
