Finally got around to watching all three series of This is England recently, and this is about all of them not just '90: I can't really praise this show enough. Everything about it is just top quality and I find it almost impossible to fault.
It feels totally authentic, it's engrossing, the stories are compelling, it's serious and moving and carries an emotional punch but without being contrived and is also hilarious at times. The performances are brilliant - it's impossible to separate the actors from the characters they play.
I know this probably sounds over the top, but I almost want to shake the hand of everyone involved. This will have to suffice instead ... Thanks to Shane Meadows and everyone else for creating this and putting it on screen. Fantastic.

I must live under a rock having never heard about this show and only coming across it due to discovering The Virtues and checking out Shane Meadows.
I am currently watching this and am watching episode 3 where they all sit and have the talk around the table,This could be the Greatest emotional piece of film I have ever experienced. If anyone hasn't seen this then do your self a favour and check it out.Shane Meadows is a Genius and the cast are brilliant 10/10
I'll keep it short, all of the This is England dramas are a masterpiece in writing by Shane Meadows. Some of the viewing is uncomfortable to watch but watch you have to as you are glued to the screen.
The actors and actresses are quite simply superb, and why british drama is there in my opinion as the best in the world.
Watch them all now, you won't be able to shake it out of your mind.
Well done to all 10/10 for everything.

Shane Meadows and Jack Thorne have created a fantastic piece of television. The thing that makes This is England great is the realness and tension that the show creates. With some of the finest British actors to date, the whole of the 'This is England' franchise is a must watch.
This is England '90 follows on from the Bafta winning This is England '86 and This is England '88.
90' focuses around the younger members of the gang as they are introduced to the rave scene and the nightlife of drugs, hit hard with Stone Roses and The happy Mondays. Over four seasons, starting from Spring, and ending in a bleak winter, This is England '90 really captures the essence of the beginning of a new generation...

Can't believe that this series remained so good throughout all the iterations.
90' was just spectacular. I'm running out of ways to describe the epicness of the show.
They divided this latest installment into seasons of the year. That was brilliant in my opinion. Every season brings something different, so in a metaphorical way, every episode brought something different. (Which ended up being the case.)
We find the gang fully embracing rave culture and everything that comes with it (drugs). Lots and lots of it.
The ladies all work together in the same place. Lol and Woody have a baby of their own now. Shaun looks for smell, finds her she tells him that she started seeing someone. As result, he hangs at Harvey and Gadgets place, to feel better. What results was pure Gold. Harvey impersonates Smell and makes Shaun feel a little better. I was laughing and smiling while watching this. It was so freaking funny. I rewatched it three times in a row cause it was so hilarious. Probably in the top 3 of funniest scenes of the show.
Most of the gang head to a rave, but get lost on the way. They encounter new age travelers and party with them all night. The end result is so horrible as we see Kelly use heroin for the first time and has sex (or raped) by several men. She develops a bad habit after this which eventually lead her to live in a dealers house.
So much more happens and it's a truly emotional season. I haven't mentioned the best parts because I want you to feel how I felt when watching it. There's one particular scene with Kelly and her family that was just so insane.
This installment wraps up decently, but felt like there was a few hiccups. Why add the scene with Shaun and Smell in the end, if we don't see what happens afterwards. I really wanted something to come out of them two.
What happened to Kelly? Heck, what happened to Combo? - You'll have to watch in order to find out. Both every surprising.
Either way this "review"/rant, is over. This is truly one amazing experience. I love these characters, and I loved every second of the entire series.
This gets a LennyReviewz Score of: 9/10.
