Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada

It has been a long wait ever since the release of single song "Thalli pogathey", ironically, the movie release took a long time.

But its worth the wait.

A typical GVM start to the movie with mature parents, loving sister and a gorgeous heroine to fall in love for - Manjima Mohan

A special mention for that fabulous bike song - Showkali, most of the guys would have booked a Royal Enfield as soon as they got out of the movie.

Such was the presentation and passion expressed.

With romance and song filling the first half, the movie turns into a thriller with some strange situations encompassing a common man.

A colorful first half followed by a contrasting dark second half.

The thrill element was presented beautifully as you will never know what is going to come next.

Unlike usual GVM movies, this movie has got some logical setbacks in the name of "commercial" element. This might give out some mixed reactions. Nonetheless, the movie overall will be a good watch.

Verdict: Go for it...

The movie was not good. Songs and BGM in the movie was superb. But there is no interesting part in the movie. The movie was very boring. The fight scenes in the movie was good.

Gautham Vasudev Menon and Silambarasan reunite in Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada after their successful collaboration in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. Unlike their previous romantic drama, Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada is a much more action-oriented film. The film initially starts as a soft romantic drama and later, turns into a full-fledged action thriller with the focus on elevating Silambarasan's mass hero image. As usual, Gautham Menon had well-established the characters and their backstories without much entering into complicated flashbacks. Unfortunately, the story and the screenplay seem to be a little bit messed after the interval because of the confusing twists that happen after it. This is why the twists and turns don't work much in the film. Even the climax is pure let down because it lacks logic. The film is not to the Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya standards. Gautham Menon seems to have blend in the romantic drama genre and the action thriller genre in the same film which is probably why the film doesn't work much. Even Manjima Mohan's backstory seems to be too stretched in the climax which is one of the reasons for keeping us away from the film. Even with these flaws, Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada is watchable for Simbu and Manjima's fresh pairing. They are both performing within their space and it's quite natural too. On the other side, A. R. Rahman had scored a much memorable and loveable album. His background score works much in the film's favor. Overall, this film is definitely not to the usual Gautham Menon standards but it is watchable for its kind.

Movie is fantastic. STR is good actor. STR climax scene gorgeous and awesome. Manjima Mohan act as a heroine it's really Appreciatable. STR is Tamilnadu Allu Arjun. He is doing Style and Dance like Allu Arjun.

1st off, I love the writing of this story. GVM is a real awesome writer and director. Man i just don't know but i love this movie very much though some of friends didn't like it. Then comes the cast. Casting STR is one among the best thing for this movie. He totally nailed his character. Then the supporting actors and Manjima Mohan, everyone did a great job alongside. The 1st half was going really good, with all the romance and stuff. You like a girl, then you know talking to her and all those stuffs. Then the 2nd half. Filled with action yet still carries the aspect of romance. A perfect written and executed film. The screenplay was awesome. The music part. Man I shouldn't even talk about it. ARR literally scores everywhere. The songs, the bg score, the way he fits in the music in the movie. Just a must watch suggestion from my side.
