What a hypocrisy sleazy movies were made in 90's released in single screen , such movies were labelled c grade movies and looked down by society. Now in the era of OTA in the name of creativity and with more budget same movies are made and no one raise an eye brow. Where are we heading ? No doubt their is huge money involved in promoting such movies in the name of creativity and making people sub consciously accept it. Bhumi don't know at this stage of her career has to grab any things comes in her kitty. Anil kapoor the top star of 80's coming to this level only he must be knowing the reason. Shehnaz gill who just started is doing the biggest blunder of her career, hope this movie doesnot effect her profile same with senior actor dolly at her age its odd she is fine with such filth produce in the name of feminism. As i believe what is feeded as feminism is in fact for years is suppression of women. God help the audiences for more is to COME.
The movie is difficult to sit through because of a jumbled up, skewed and erratic narrative. It is one big cringe fest. Its target is the urban elitist audience who also may not like it. The mixed up, clueless and dumb 30 plus heroine( Bhumi Pednekar) feels that the world is collapsing around her because she has not experienced orgasm. Even her mother and grandmother are of no help here.(Towards the end however her mother asks her to practice " self help" to solve her problem).
The movie's director presents a skewed view of the storyline and the movie falls flat inspite of best efforts. The acting is loud, unduly boisterous and irritating. There is a crude stereotyping of Punjabi families. They have been reduced to caricatures. There is an excess of parties, after parties, drinking, dancing etc. The movie shows a misplaced perspective of women's liberation. A few scenes appear sleazy and cheap. All actors have overacted without exception including Bhumi who is clearly miscast. And what was Anil Kapoor doing in this movie ? Though the production values are good the songs and dances are too loud and garish. The climax in the school auditorium was atrocious and ridiculous to say the least.
We have no problems with movies on subjects considered taboo but they need to be handled with care and sensitivity. The message of the movie should take into account broad societal norms.

Thank You For Coming review :
She's been looking for a frog to turn in to prince charming since her teens. At thirty plus of age, she's still not earned her orgasm. And that is after dating and mating with atleast half a dozen males, one of which is apna Anil Kapoor as a romantic shaayar twice her age.
Meet Kanika Kapoor (Bhumi Pednekar), whose life apparently revolves around satisfying her Gspot. Frustrated and unsuccessful at it, she finally agrees to settle with a richie rich goodie good dude (Pradhuman Singh), who is as straight as Bharat Bhushan of yore. Oh Bore!!
Finally, our Kanika aka Kannu experiences her first orgasm after a deep drunken party but unfortunately, doesn't remember whom she slept with. Was it her fiancé or the elderly shaayar or her bestie's curly burly hubby or someone else? Who gave her the satisfaction of a lifetime??!!!
The film's second half is dedicated to finding who the gentleman was... as Kannu goes about questioning her suspects, "Kya tumne?". It actually reminded me of Akshay Kumar asking similar thing to a dozen girls in Heyy Babyy (2007). But guys, that was a Sajid Khan trash and hence, utterly excusable!! Here, the proceedings get thoroughly monotonous and boring after the interval...
Bhumi Pednekar is an efficient actor and can rise above the script, given a good hand (pun unintended). But darlings, expecting her to shoulder an entire movie on her own, especially this one based on such a flimsy premise is taking things too far. About the rest of the cast, the less said the better.
Thank You For Coming tries to drive a point that seventy percent women in this world don't experience orgasm in their entire lives. Dunno how true or false it is!! If it is indeed true, the movie treats it so frivolously that it fails to register in any manner.
The climax offers a solution of "self help" as means to attain the ultimate sexual pleasure. "Aapla Haath Jagannath", it preaches unabashedly. But wasn't that the name of a blockbuster Dada Kondke movie of the '70s. Hmm, no further comment!!!
Regards, Sumeet Nadkarni.

"Thank You for Coming" is a disappointing attempt at a sex comedy film. The movie's premise of five women navigating life, sex, and love had potential, but it falls flat due to poor writing and acting. The inclusion of social media content creators as leads did not add any value to the film, as their performances lacked depth and authenticity. The humor often felt forced and failed to deliver the witty and intelligent comedy one might expect from this genre. Overall, "Thank You for Coming" misses the mark and fails to leave a lasting impression, making it a forgettable and lackluster addition to the genre.
