I love Laura, she has a hard talking style but with a cheeky, soft edge. She plays hard with a sometimes cynical and cheeky edge.
The BBC can be a smidge on the right wing at times but she seems to get the big names out and into the limelight, though getting a politician to give a yes or no answer still seems to evade her!
It's a refreshing view on politics and politicians in a world of fake news and AI where you cannot believe anything you see in the news or on Tik Tube or FaceTwitXBook.
As ever, spread your digestion of news across various channels to gather opposing views before making a decision- but LK is a good starter for 10!

Sunday morning topical conversation with Laura Kuenssberg.
I'll be honest, I don't tend to use The BBC as a news source, I tend to use various sources, but on a Sunday morning, I still watch this.
I will applaud Laura for one thing, she's interviewed many politicians, I will never forget the excruciating Liz Truss interview, but her tone isn't as confrontational as some, she's somewhat better than some at getting a conversation going. She doesn't spend the whole hour doing what many of them do now, speaking over and jumping in.
The one thing Laura cannot do, is humour, every time she seems to try it's a little awkward, maybe it's just that politics and humour don't work.
Please, please change those hideous sets, it's the worst visual setup imaginable, it makes Politics Live look sharp and cutting edge.
It's actually one of The BBC's better news offerings, 6/10.

I really like the content and often look forward to the interviews, because both appear like they are going to be really interesting and we may learn something.
However, often just as the interviewee is about say something interesting or they are about to finish providing their answer, Laura buts in, talks over the top of them and pressures them into answering a "Yes or no...!?".
Though it is appreciated that the aim is to get the answers definitive black and white answers, this yes or no answer my question interviewing style makes for quite frustrating viewing, as it does not accommodate that sometimes the answer is not that simple and that sometimes further articulation is required to explain why.
Being someone who is generally interested in hearing the full extent of the answer and perspectives from all sides, just allowing interviewees to finish their answers would dramatically improve the show, as whilst the interviews are conducted in the current way it feels like you are always left with more questions, because information you were just about to receive has been repeatedly cut off by the persistent interruption of "Yes or no.. will you? / Do you agree etc?"

This political slot, which used to be required viewing in its heyday, is now completely inconsequential. Dropping the paper review was a mistake. It not only gives context to the subsequent discussions, but informs the viewer of the presentation of the debate. Kuenssberg is far too obsequious with the guest. She is easily manipulated by flattery and 'in jokes'. The choice of panel members adds no value. I see that the BBC is striving to achieve some kind of impartial balance, but this just leads to dull partisanship. Kuenssberg consistently fails to cut through the prepared statements the guest wants to present, turning the interview into just another party political broadcast.
