A nice and realistic portrayal of the south Tamil Nadu's obsession with jallikattu. The characters are completely natural and the actors blend with the role. The narration is bit slow but on the whole an engrossing one. Kishore as Muthiah is excellent as usual. The other actors also played their role very well. The love story spun along with the rivalry between villages adds spice and thrill. The events of jallikattu, the background preparation and the emotions behind them were filmed nicely. But the scenes of jallikattu are used a bit more than required. The setting of each village is done very realistically. Music fully syncs with the visual presentation. Must watch for traditional lovers.

Those who dare talk about jallikatu. Watch this series. Well narrated. Fantastic screenplay. About "Vadivasal" explained we'll to those who need to know what is Vadivasal & jallikatu. In time, it undergoes a stunning metamorphosis, from a naturalistic depiction of rural tamilnadu. It is a tradition that never fails to establish a self-sufficient, hard-working, and solid Tamil culture. It also symbolises the amazing "man and animal" relationship.

Shots in the film unbelievable. Almost realistic. All actors performed well .story screenplay direction music all excellent.

Taking an Ancient Cultural Sport of the Tamilan and creating a Script that is Top-Notch is Totally Mnd Blowing. I would like to Congratulate all the Departments like the DOP, Background Score, Direction, Production, Stunt, Acting and Special Mention to those Bulls which is the Heart of this Project. I wish all the Very Best to all Members of the Cast & Crew of Pettakaali and I wish Projects like this would be Accepted by the Producers & the Audience. This has Created a High which I guess would be seen soon experiencd again in the Big Screens via Vaadivasal Movies by National Award Winning Director Vetrimaaran.

Series had great great start but lost it in mid way . First 4 Episodes were solid and impressive , but last 4 episodes were totally contrast comparing to its first 4 . Series can be easily divided into two parts , first 4 had solid story building , characters were well established , conflict between the characters were intresting . Last 4 had inappropriate love track which totally changed the track of the Series . Despite it flaws , Series well portrays the politics and ego clash behind " Jallikattu " . We can easily notice writer did a good ground work . Technically not a perfect , but Jallikattu sequence were well captured . SaNa asusual did his job , intro song was great .

Overall first half was great ( 1st 4 epis ) and second half was totally irrelevant and clumsy ( last 4 epis )
