Warnie hasn't been gone long, this short 2 episode mini series doesn't do the best to show us whom he was. He was more than the scandals, he was a great cricketer, but he was involved with charities and so on. None that included in the series besides one mention stating a children's charity golf match, other than that nothing. This series seems rushed. Hack job. He hasn't been gone long either seems to be in bad taste. Too soon for this series. Could have been done better, and left enough appropriate time to pass for the family before releasing this. Warnie deserves better Disappointed. RIP WARNIE.
Shane Warne is is one of the greatest cricketers of all time and a true legend of the sport. As a leg-spinner, he was known for his incredible skill and ability to bamboozle even the best batsmen in the world with his spin bowling.
What sets Warnie apart, however, is not just his incredible talent on the field, but also his charismatic personality and his ability to connect with fans around the world. He has always been a larger-than-life figure, with a cheeky sense of humor and a natural gift for storytelling that has made him a beloved figure in the world of cricket.
Despite his many achievements on the field, Warnie has also faced his fair share of challenges off the field, but he has always handled himself with grace and humility, and has remained a positive role model for fans around the world. Whether he's working as a commentator, sharing his insights on social media, or simply interacting with fans, he continues to inspire and entertain people around the world.
Overall, I would highly recommend Warnie to anyone who loves cricket or is looking to watch a great show. The acting is great and most events in his life are portrayed well. He is a true legend of the game, and his passion for cricket and his ability to connect with fans make him a truly inspiring figure.
RIP SHANE WARNE.

No wonder channel 9 can't get a television drama when they rely on a dead has been sports star who hadn't even been gone for several months. This was one of the worst mini series/ shows I had the displeasure of watching and I want my time back on this awful show. I truly hope the family and those involved received apologies because there was no way no way at all this would've flown had the family known. It was rushed, it had a poor script and it was not "enjoyable" far from that. It was not Shane, for from it. More should've been done around his cricket instead of the fluff surrounding his life he may of been interesting but he wasn't that interesting.
Extremely weak series, jumping through ages and no depth to Warnies character. I'm not sure we saw any passion in this series.
I saw him around Brighton and I don't think this depicted how hard it was for him, and how incredible Simone is. Also, his children could see this and I hope they don't.
I can't even tell you what it was about tbh. In my opinion it was offensive to Warnie, his family and his legacy.
I once saw Warnie pick up Maccas from Church St when it used to be there. Out of nowhere about 15-20 teenage girls came screaming around the corner, he ran to the car - Simone was driving and the kids looked absolutely terrified as he ran. Once he got to the car the girls were trying to open the door but Simone was too smart and got her family to safety (luckily with the maccas!).
I don't like cricket, I don't know if I like Warnie as I never met him, but when I watched that I felt nothing but empathy for him and his family.

It seems some reviewers here, and in the media in general, were predetermined to hate this show. Offended that the producers and creators had the temerity to even make it. Couldn't wait to rag on it, no matter the content. Well, I'm not particularly a cricket fan or a Shane Warne fan, but I am a drama fan and I thought this was a really entertaining, well made, well paced, well written mini series. The structure's nifty - bounces and darts around (dare I say like one of Warne's spin bowls) but is never confusing. The show is clearly intended for a mainstream audience so it's not esoteric or confusing; it's lively and fun. The performances, specially from the two leads, are terrific and the directing and editing are nippy and fresh. The writing gives a real sense of Warne's complexities and contradictions as a person without wallowing in introspection or becoming navel-gazing. The cricket sequences - both archival footage and reshot drama inserts - are integral and exciting and do a great job of dramatising Warne's extraordinary talent as a spin bowler. So give this show a watch with an open mind and there's heaps to enjoy.
