wordlessness starts as a home video.bunch of seemingly crazy ordinary friends decide to spend some time with one another under one condition that no one is permitted to say a word throughout the ordeal.this is the core principle of the film.the so called Concept, but the movie is much more than just that which in itself is unique enough for a whole movie to watch over 90 minutes.oddly enough it is so strong that one wishes it would have continued another 90 minutes.the film is extraordinary in direction, and more interesting in how it develops from one phase to another.one other prospect keeps the viewer entangled in the picture as a blind man and his attraction for a girl in the party of people and things he goes through adds to the events.however, a film that starts as a normal gathering of a bunch of merry go round people turns out to be a lot more as it continues.there is a magician that rather reminds everyone every once in a while "not to speak a word" and it is he in the end that delivers the stunning final effective punch to the film by magically influencing the final moments of the movie.all in all this masterpiece of shokof's conceptual; experimental, becomes a classic work of art that deserves to be viewed by both serious and just those of us who only go to see films and have fun.a great cinema achievement in the name of wordlessness. shokof in top form. 10 is just good enough.

eternally humble, quiet at times, and then silly on many occasions, furious, and mad at other moments ,this incredible concept has been made into a more incredible movie that just leaves the audience crave for more:wordlessness is about some friends getting together with a condition not to say a word until the party goes on. it is nearly a perfect film, so free, so open, so bold and so visionary that one can only view it as a most complete art form in look of a movie.really a terrific chapter in shokof,s movies that always rank high in originality.this one has it all. i enjoyed it from the first b-like home movie perspectives to the final poetic and stunning end moments. the blind man is a joy and so are the rest of the cats. my 10 goes for this one for at least another 10 years to come.

i just saw this marvelous film with a crowd of almost non English speaking people who all were film buffs. we all had fun seeing how brilliant this picture moves from banal to brilliant and gripping tale as well while nothing is clear until the last 20 minutes of the film. the story telling is masterly.actors are all doing a good job even though one knows they did not h have 100 films into their credits.the film is conceptually at the arts level as well where the bunch of people are supposedly coming together to spend some time with agreeing on one condition that no one says a word.thus is wordlessness the name of the film. the blind man searches for his eternal love and can only trust his senses of smell.he smells one girl amongst the crowd who is also affectionate towards him but uncertain of her true determination to give herself to him or rather to the handsome mafia boss whose wife is having affairs with almost ever available man in the party.thus the thrill and suspense of the film grows as the boss has had enough of his waif,e mistreating him in front tog everyone and orders nasty things to happen to many............ this film as of many other films from shokof in my opinion needs to be seen with a fresh open minded sight and agree that he is always ironic and joking throughout his films where he expresses himself freely. the usage of the grand music of chet baker only adds to seconds where you only want to revolt against the simplicity of the pictures, settings and or story telling. a masterpiece in my opinion just alike his seven servants and perhaps strange stranger that all could very well be misunderstood and or even ignored as it was the case of seven servants.
