The queen of her dreams I take it as this is fawzia ultimate childhood dream of that specific actress which somewhat she finally get her wish into making it an art which don't get me wrong is a good dream I like the idea of it the concept and all.
I just don't like how she portray must of it and not to be political she mentioned her so called "conservative Muslim mother" which by the way the way she show her the mother didn't even pray 5 times a day and she said it herself I wish my mother(azra grandmother) was this strict on me to learn about the religion.
I watch the first Queen of my dream 7 min runtime which I will called the total sums of this and truly I am really happy how she get to move it to the full length screen more success ahead but as I said I have to pass on this one.

One thing I love about this movie is that it did not take an attempt to look different; rather, it delivers a story like any other mainstream film. I loved this approach. Any LGBTQIA+ movies that are from South Asia are always happened to be either indi or arthouse gnre. Amrit Kaur and Nimra Bucha acted so well in the lead roles. Other characters were also good. The cinematography, background score and editing are good enough. The movie beautifully captured Pakistan. Sharmeela Tagore's ubiquitous presence made this movie special. The cultural dilemma in the South Asian diaspora is presented beautifully in The Queen of My Dreams. Director Fawzia's bold direction is highly appreciatable. This is an easy, one-time watch for all.
This movie was so wonderful to watch! I loved the bright colors. I loved the dancing. I loved the love story. I have a soft spot for immigrant stories.
I saw the movie at the Milwaukee Film Festival. It was a spotlight presentation. We got to hear Director Fawzia Mirza and her partner/producer answer questions about the film. I could see how much heart they put into the film.
The heroine was so unabashedly herself. She often clashed with her mother. She loved her dad so much. I enjoyed that we went back into the past to come back to the present. The film was an awesome rollercoaster ride. If you get a chance, please see this film.

I loved this film. It kept me on my toes equal parts Lost In Translation, The Royal Tenenbaums and But I'm a Cheerleader and just a dash of everything everywhere all at once. This film will bend time and space and you will like it.
The cast was great, dug the soundtrack. This was the kind of movie I wish existed when I was growing up, the world needs more films like this.
You might cry. You will definitely laugh. Ever wanted to explore baliwood films in 3 dimensions? Want to explore queer characters without it being just about their gayness? This movie is family and culture and coming of age. Go see it!
