I usually like these kinds of movies, but not this time. Its clearly a heap knock off of The Road which is an ATF of mine. But they just don't pull it off. The writing is bad, the acting is worse, and the cinematography is flat. Also, the sets are too obviously staged. But I'd still rate it higher if it wasn't such a blatant rip off. But you put the bad things mentioned above with a lack of creativity and you get yourself a boring loser of a movie. You should skip this one.
Written and directed by Stephen Folker, an apocalyptic movie with Jonathan (Burt Culver) who used to be a cop but is now fighting for his survival. Much of it is from raving marauders he is armed with nothing more than his pistol. He eventually stumbles onto what he assumes was an abandoned church trying to escape and hide from marauders. And it is during then he meets a black man, Devin (Ramon Bailey) and his 8 or 9 year old daughter, Shelly (Berkeley Clayborne) where his old dad, Jones (Glenn Harston) happens to be the pastor for the church where they shared some of their food with. He meets more people along the way.
If the running time is 1 hour and 15 minutes then it may meant that the forced drama situations was the result was so that the movie running time must be filled to be labelled as a film, which if one were to continue watching it further locations were reused over and over.

Right from the opening scene, attention to detail, or just a "couldn't care less attitude" prevails, where we are told that hundreds of millions of people have been killed, perhaps billions, yet the skies in the opening scene reveal an average days chem trails spread out over the skies. Poor acting and a poor script make this painful to watch.
Good premise and similar to other dystopian stories. Sadly this film has more holes in the plot than Swiss cheese. This is my favorite genre so despite the poor reviews gave it a shot.
There is zero continuity of camera lens and/or editing software. It changes from color, to very grey to black and white. Those changes aren't tied to a story arc or flashback, just happen.
When I'm the house, the camera couldn't be any closer to the actors unless they were carrying the cameras. Quick cuts, poor editing, bad angles with a side of Blair Witch project filming.
If this was a senior film project it would deserve a B+ as a commercial film it's a solid D.

Wow. Is all I can say! Utter crap. Great idea, poorly written. Dragged on, I kept waiting for something to happen. Best part? The end. Poorly engineered. Sound must have gone on in a last minute panic. I found myself turning it up & down all through. The music is supposed to be a behing thing, not a foreground thing. Can hardly hear the characters speak most of the time, hence the turning the volume up & down all movie. I would be totally ashamed to have written, engineered, directed or produced any part of the finished product. Back to the drawing board boys & girls. I usually never rate any movie, but this one was so poorly done, I had to find this website & write one based on how this left me feeling. Ripped off, embarrassed! Save your time folks. These boys need to go back to school. More working and it could be something good. It's a NO from me.

- WissenswertesTo prepare for his role Burt Culver walked over 200 miles from Gary, Indiana to Davenport, IA alone just prior to the start of filming. This is the distance his character Jonathan had traveled before the start of the story. With his long beard and fingernails, one café owner refused to let him pay for his meal thinking that he was homeless. He left money under his plate and later received an email from the café owner when she saw a news article about the film.
- PatzerWhen Jonathon, Devin, and Shelly are leaving the church they are walking along the railroad tracks. They do not have any long guns. As they are walking towards the bridge, Jonathon has a shotgun in his right hand. As they continue to walk along the railroad tracks, there is no evidence of a shotgun. Although there is a shotgun later in the movie, there was none prior to this clip.
