Kingdom of the Saguenay (1964)

Decent entry in Warner's "World Wide Adventures" series takes us down the Saguenay River starting in Quebec and showing us a wide range of things but most of them dealing with water and fish. Joel Aldred narrates this 9-minute short, which probably would have been a lot better had it been made a couple decades earlier, although then we probably would have called it a rip-off of MGM's TravelTalks series. I'm really not sure what the point of this thing was because Warner isn't promoting one of their major films, which is something that most shorts were doing around this time. A short from 1964 is a pretty rare thing so again, I'm not sure what the studio was going for. Still, the Technicolor cinematography was actually pretty good and we got a lot of nice images to look at. The stuff dealing with the fishing and the old-timers isn't all that entertaining but if you've got nothing better to do then this here isn't that bad.
