The Last Man(s) on Earth

It's hard to find a good comedy these days, and I did not expect to find one in a low budget independent film. Part action film, part comedy, and part disaster/horror film this was a seriously fun movie. Made on what looks to be a very modest budget, it never distracts from all the fun and excitement happening on screen. While it drags a little at the end the rest of the film soars by riding on witting dialogue, great one liners, fun action sequences, and great performances.

I was really impressed with the writing of the film. This was probably it's biggest strength. As good as the writing was though it wouldn't have had the same effect without the great actors who delivered the lines. Rick Macy and Darin Southman (who I've only ever seen in serious roles) performances were a big highlight for me. But the show goes to the leading man Charan Prabhaka who is both a great action hero and hilarious! Brady Blum's performance was also good, but there were a few times were he was a little over the top for me. Overall though this is an extremely funny movie (better than most Hollywood comedies), that you will not regret taking the time to check it out.

An outrageous adventure comedy about two best friends and self- described survival experts who are put to the test of doing what they do best - prevent world destruction. Charan Prabhakar and Brady Bluhm are hilarious! So rarely do you find buddy / bro comedies that feature such great chemistry. Their absurd characters and over-the-top performances would be challenging enough on a stage, but these two pull it off with flying colors on film. Aaron Hultgren wrote a ludicrous comedy, and his direction, the crisp editing, and Prabhakar and Bluhm's performances really carry the film. Prepare for a fun and foolish ride topped off by a bunch of laughs!

This movie is just like watching a live comic strip! It kept me in suspense and was SO HILARIOUS!!! Haha I highly recommend it to everyone, it makes a great family movie too! They couldn't have chosen better characters for the parts. I'm totally gonna watch this again because now I want to see my friend's and family's reaction when they see it. I also enjoyed the background music and all of the cinematography involved in creating such an "epic" film. This movie should be a feature film or should be featured in film festivals! I had the opportunity to view an almost-finished cut of THE LAST MAN(s) ON EARTH, the apocalyptic comedy based on the web series of the same name. Though it had a few slow patches and a couple of jokes didn't hit the mark, its flaws were forgivable because it is riotously funny. The cast have terrific chemistry, the production values and action were impressive, and the script is peppered with zingers that had me laughing so hard that my sides hurt. Even the editing is funny, with some Edgar Wright-style flourishes that added some zip to the proceedings. Charan Prabahakar and Brady Bluhm are an excellent comedy team, each with different strengths that compliment each other nicely. Here's hoping for a sequel.

Is it me, or am I seeing the same movies repeated over and over again in Hollywood? This was a totally unique movie. I loved the storyline and the jokes. I don't know exactly how to explain the humor…I guess I would say incredibly witty! It's definitely not your standard comedic movie…it's smart! I gotta say I love that it wasn't filled with a bunch of dumb and perverted jokes. This is a movie I could watch over and over again and probably find new jokes that I didn't catch the previous time. The writing, filming, and acting were all great. I love the personalities of the two main characters. I was a fan of the web-series before the movie came out and the movie does not disappoint. It was great on every level! I definitely give this 10 stars! Thank you for making a film that is different from everything I have seen in the theaters!
