The Last Man(s) on Earth

This movie is fantastic. Hilarious, weird, offbeat, mostly unpredictable. It starts weird and just gets cooler and cooler.

I watched this by accident, thinking it was the pilot episode of a TV show everyone is raving about (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3230454/). I was amazed at the quality and style of this new TV show! It felt like something FOX would air in the early 90s - like In Living Color (www.imdb.com/title/tt0098830/). This is something totally new and different. I've never seen a movie quite like this.

Yes, it's a bit low budget. But the low budget quality actually fits the style of the two characters' YouTube videos. And key ingredients are definitely A-grade: lighting, acting. If you can enjoy seriously stupid funny, like Tucker and Dale vs Evil (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1465522/), then this movie is for you! This movie deserves so much more than its current 3.6 rating. This has got to be the second best B movie I've seen. Worthy of a watch tho. It plays out like a high school movie project, cheesy storyline, waaay over acted drama scenes (which makes it really funny), bad special effects, and good plot twists. You'd be surprised who the real villain is. It has a comic book type of feel to it, with captions popping up here and there. I've seen a lot of award winning movies and this ain't it by far, but was really fun. Just a reminder, you gotta like cheese to watch this, and I'm a HUGE fan of cinema cheese, tho I appreciate good films. Give er a try, and giggle a lot. Like I said, it's terrible... but in a good way. LOL

It's hard to find a good comedy these days, and I did not expect to find one in a low budget independent film. Part action film, part comedy, and part disaster/horror film this was a seriously fun movie. Made on what looks to be a very modest budget, it never distracts from all the fun and excitement happening on screen. While it drags a little at the end the rest of the film soars by riding on witting dialogue, great one liners, fun action sequences, and great performances.

I was really impressed with the writing of the film. This was probably it's biggest strength. As good as the writing was though it wouldn't have had the same effect without the great actors who delivered the lines. Rick Macy and Darin Southman (who I've only ever seen in serious roles) performances were a big highlight for me. But the show goes to the leading man Charan Prabhaka who is both a great action hero and hilarious! Brady Blum's performance was also good, but there were a few times were he was a little over the top for me. Overall though this is an extremely funny movie (better than most Hollywood comedies), that you will not regret taking the time to check it out.

Don't bother with this unless you want to watch for specific reason, I only watched because there were zombies in it but even they were few and far between.

If they had cut out the 1st hour of the movie would have been OK but as it is it is below average and is no where near as good as the fake reviews says it is lol.

Most of the reviewers became members around same time and have only reviewed this movie all giving it a glowing review. Obviously they are connected to the movie maybe cast and/or crew members.

It was only 86 minutes long but felt like 3 hours, it wasn't funny at all with childish lame humour that was so dull i began thinking what house work needed doing.

Based on their YouTube comedy series, The Last Man(s) on Earth, we find Charan Prabhakar and Brady Bluhm channeling their inner Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, respectively. This is a film that looks like it was a ton of fun to make, though slightly less fun to watch. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it and found the leads to be funny characters, but it still felt like a YouTube length skit that was stretched out to feature length proportions. The filmmakers were also obviously working on a very constrained budget, which added charm at moments and weighed down the film at other times. If you enjoy the camaraderie of Pegg/Frost, then this film might just as well be the lower-budgeted cousin, with a similar character dynamic and humor that wouldn't be out of place in one of their films or TV shows. Overall, a valiant effort and I'd love to see what these guys could do if given the resources to make a decently funded feature.
