It is a forgettable movie but if you're looking for some quick entertainment it's not too bad. By the end I wanted the killer to win but, that's just me. The one reason is it keep you interested the entire movie. Yeah, you'll watch them being stupid and doing stupid stuff but all things considered, watch it. It's ok.

Pretty good movie, reminded me kind of like a made for tv version of joy ride in a way. It had some corny scenes but other than that it's pretty good. The other reviewer missed the point of the movie apparently cause this movie is very entertaining. It has some dumb decisions made by some of the main characters but it's to be excepted from a horror drama road trucker movie. Must watch if you're a fan of vengeful crazy trucker horror drama movies.

Helen Taylor (Sarah Allen) encounters hitchhiker Carly (Zoë Belkin) on a snow covered road. She's on her way to pick up her daughter Lauren Taylor (Erica Anderson). She agrees to take Carly who is actually doing a scam with her boyfriend Boyd following in a pickup truck. They seem to be followed by a mysterious trucker.

This premise holds some horror promise if not for Lifetime and the low rate TV production value. It's mostly the bad filmmaking which is low budget TV level. This needs to take place over one stormy night. It also needs better car stunt action. It needs a lot of better things.

I really enjoyed the nuanced characters - especially the bad folks who have sympathetic elements rather than just being 1 dimensional characters. The ending is quite moving too.

The lead actress, Sarah Allen, is strong and believable and the younger actresses are also believable.

The story has decent twists and there are real moral dilemmas which occur.

Sure, the sets and special effects are limited, but it is a lot more interesting than the last 50 Bruce Willis movies (except maybe Looper).

I also enjoyed the suburban Ottawa locations! Sadly there are no ice roads in the movie, but it is very snowy.
