Was the most captivating film I've seen in years. Aubrey Joseph did an amazing job at portraying BOSCO. Movie was absolutely 10/10
Not often does a movie hold my attention for an hour or 90 minutes, this one did! It was both stunning and eye opening. How have we let our penal system get to this point? BOSCO is a low key genius too, how did he manage that on his own?
It leaves you wondering how many more BOSCOs there are out there who haven't escaped. It's sad, but I'm glad we're using cinema to open the eyes of the masses. One way to people's hearts and mind, has always been through beautiful cinema, and BOSCO fits the bill.

A friend recommended this to me because he knows i'm a fan of prison movies but wasn't expecting this. Thought by the poster might be more like a low budget action movie. I was wrong. It definitely is a lower budget under 10 million dollar movie, but caught myself fully bought in to the struggle of the main character, Bosco and the supporting characters. There were no big prison brawls although one cool fight scene that again, wasn't what I expected. The performances are great. I wish I had some more time with some of them, but the time I did have flew by. Was great seeing Vivica Fox in a strong role again. I wish there was more time with Bosco when he got out but I guess the writers had to stick with the true events of what actually happened. I loved the style of the ending scenes with the narrator over the music and all the cutting back and forth. The style overall was pretty damn cool. For all the maybe too quick paced storytelling, I still felt satisfied and like I was immersed in a world that led to some interesting questions.
BOSCO moves the spirit and invites viewers to consensually shatter our own preconceived notions and conditioning around right and wrong, moral and evil, justice, family, and human potential. I've been in the industry since I was a child. In 2014 I left Hollywood to do more direct social justice work.
BOSCO restored my faith in the power of mindful media powered by guttural and righteous Truths, backed by the community itself. Aubrey Joseph bares the character's soul. Brilliant writing and cinematography offer intense glimpses into his depth of intellect and resilience. The action is as spiritual as much as it is physical. Some scenes are are to watch, yet offer a pill we didn't know we needed.
It was also a pleasure to meet the cast and crew at the premier. Everyone is like a family and is so supportive of Quawntay and his daughter. Several expressed knowing loved ones in similar positions. The time is now to grow the movement around prison reform and BOSCO is an inside edge that can build trust with people from all walks of life.
I look forward to how far this film will reach in terms of both acclaim and impact.

It's pretty good generally not into prison stories much but this is definitely well made and can be hard to watch at times in a good way if that makes sense. Fits Thomas Jane, Theo Rossi and the main lead quite well; I'm surprised this isn't higher rated than 5.7 it seems a lot enjoyed Bosco I would say it deserve better! I can't imagine what it'd be like to be incarcerated seems genuinely awful to experience the absolute dread in such an isolated place. I really like how the movie gets better as it goes on it is a great thrill ride of an exclusive movie on peacock I hope the ratings increase it so well filmed!
Soundtrack was good. I'd give a 7.5 if I could. Didn't realize it was based on a true story. I like movies like that. Aubrey has a bright future. Loved him as Cloak, though I'm a Marvel nerd lol Good ending always helps. Not sure why that isn't sufficient enough of a review, but apparently i still need 294 characters, so let's get it. The movie did give me good perspective on freedom and perceived freedom. Makes appreciate the small things like seeing color everyday, feeling the breeze on your skin, and hearing the birds sing. Watched this movie at the perfect time in my life with everything that's been going on. Worth the watch.
