Dookudu

It was a boring, draggy, potpourri of movies which would never end. But still, it had its brilliant moments which makes the movie work. More than being a Mahesh's film, it had Srinu Vytla written all over it. Mahesh just helped it reach the pinnacle. Bramhanadam and M. S. Naryana's video clips shall be on almost everyone's facebook pages in the near future. Actually, its not Mahesh, but them who make the movie reach its pinnacle. Better editing and screenplay could have helped. On the whole, a decent film. Could have been much better, but with the recent dearth of good Telugu films, this movie is something most of us can feast on (count me out!!).

Mahesh Babu role and his action is highlight in the film. He excelled both in action and emotional scenes. His comedy timing is perfect and over shadowed big comedians in the movie. The variation he showed in body language between Police officer and MLA is commendable. Overall, it is an energetic performance by Mahesh Babu much to the delight of his fans.

Samanta has nothing to do much except play the role of Mahesh Babu love interest. She is pretty and looked glamorous in songs. Parvathi Melton item song is unimpressive.

Prakash Raj is at his usual best. This role is one among many roles he played. Sonu Sood as underworld don did justice to his selection. Kota, Sayaji Shindey and Supreeth performance is OK.

Real scene stealers are Brahmanandam in Padma Sri role and MS Narayana in wanna be hero Venu role. Their performance is highlight in the movie.

Nasser as boss to Mahesh Babu has less important role. Suman and Naga Babu restricted to couple of scenes in Police chiefs role. Vennela Kishore, Ravi Prakash and Manoj performed well as Mahesh colleagues. Tanikella Bharani, Chandra Mohan, Shiva Reddy, Dharmavarapu Subrahamanyam and many more filled the screen.

Story: Shankar Narayana (Prakash Raj) an honest man with ideals who does a lot for the poor. His good deeds find enemies (Kota, Supreeth, Sayaji). Shankar's son Ajay (Mahesh Babu) grows up to be an honest and tough cop.

While the whole world thinks Shankar Narayana is dead, he is actually recovering in a hospital. Meanwhile, unaware of all this flashback Ajay sets on a mission to hunt Nayak (Sonu Sood), a dreaded mafia don. In this process, he comes across Prashanti (Samantha) and falls in love with her. Meanwhile, Shankar Narayana recovers but he is not supposed to go through any sort of stress.

For this, Ajay starts doing all sorts of things to keep him happy. The story takes a turn when Ajay discovers about the attack on his father and decides to take revenge. How does he do that? Whether he is successful or not forms the rest of the story.

Performance: Dookudu movie is One Man action----Mahesh Babu.Like Khaleja,Mahesh has given an another extraordinary acting which was not given in his previous movies.

Samantha was used only for songs and only in first half.Vennela Kishore was good,but did not used much.

The plus point of this movie is M.S.Naranyana and Bhramanandam.All seen M.S.Narayanana acting,but in this movie , he has given best mind blowing performance as per comedy when compared to his previous movies...

Choreography was good.Sreenu Vaitla didn't do much to take the movie.Ready,Dhee,King mixed all and grind-ed well and built-ed the concept as to suit Mahesh role.Nothing much new in the movie.

Conclusion : If you are a prince fans,definitely it will rock.

Comedy,timing,prince ,m.s.narayana & other co-stars acting brings plus point for family members..

This is movie is entirely based on comedy n actor Mahesh's performance.

Story: Not an unpredictable one, not delicious as director Sreenu- Vaytla's creation but dialogues n comedy timing are good.

Pros: Mahesh,Prakash raj,Brahmanandam,M.S.Narayana,Sonusood & Nazer performances. Dir,screenplay Sreenu Vytla,Guhan cinematography,Taman background score n finally female lead Samantha.

Cons: Second half of the movie works slowly as compared to that of first half. Samantha not used properly when they returned from Istanbul in the movie. Mahesh character it becomes he's the only person in the entire movie. Villain characterization not impressive.

Verdict: An entertainment based film hope you'll enjoy.

Dookudu is number 1 grosser in Tollywood now.a Good Entertainer..

First half of the movie sets the plot up and it is entertaining. There are ups and downs in the second half, but the entertainment provided by Mahesh Babu, Brahmanandam and MS Narayana takes care of it. The plus points are Mahesh Babu's charm, Seenu Vytla's comedy timing and a workable script. On the flip side, there is a bit of redundancy in villain characterizations. Mahesh Babu delivers an universally acceptable entertainer in the form of Dookudu after a gap of five years. Go and watch it. Mahesh Babu proved himself again that he is a director's actor. He has a big heart to allow Brahmanandam to take center stage for a few minutes, though it is Mahesh who creates such situations. One should have a flair to time the comedy of Seenu Vytla and Mahesh does it effortlessly. Mahesh is one of the comedians when he is with Brahmanandam and MS Narayana. Mahesh Babu has also excelled in dialogue delivery by mixing Telangana accent in villain confrontation scenes. Mahesh Babu's trade mark teasing romance works big time in Turkey episodes. You see Mahesh being cheerful and smiling in most of the parts of the film.
