Horribly written. Horribly animated and horribly voiced. Did anyone rating this over a 5 actually watch the same movie I did? I don't want to swear but it is hard in this review. I hope the director writer didn't spend all of his life saving's on this. Yikes
Dialogue and animation reminded me of Clutch Cargo.
Compared to what is shown today even on TV, a student could do better.
Story line about vengeance is not kid friendly even though they make up at the end.
If the story is about bullies and vengeance it could have been better portrayed.
if I wasn't with my granddaughter I would have left.
Learned to never go see a movie that only has 1 showing a day at the theater.
If I could have, I would have asked for a refund.

We all enjoyed the humor, the Pixies and the great ending. Christopher Plummer stole the show as the Pixie King and it is a movie we'll be watching again and recommending to others! My kids are now out in the backyard looking for Pixies.
I think I can relate to poor Joe as he is an everyman. I used to work with my dad in his garage as a mechanic but I never could get the hang of it. I'm now in IT (my fingers are probably blocker than even Joe's) and it was great seeing the relationship the father/son had.
I think there needs to be more independent animation as all I ever see is the Penguins of Madagascar or other heavily-marketed ad campaigns. This movie had a heart that was filled with love and still beats strong with me.

The Pixie's movie is very different from other comedies because pixies are almost never introduced in these stories. Mythical creatures being introduced into the everyday world makes a very interesting film. Watching it is not only a fun experience, but also a very educational one. The colors and graphics were very good and done by someone with great drawing skills. The other typical comedies that people see are usually done by badly with poor aesthetic quality. There could have been a faster pacing of events though and I don't think that this was done as well as it could have been. The movie beginning is not thrilling enough though and I wish that it were more filled with action. Instead we get a man named Joe Beck waking up in the morning still feeling drowsy. So that is what should have been changed to hook the audience in right away the moment the story starts.
I don't know where to begin, lets just start off by saying the movie is awful, low budget (like SUPER LOW BUDGET), but kids will enjoy it because the main character gets hurt a lot (much like looney toons style comedy).
The Dialog, was very meek and boring, characters just seems to randomly emotionlessly talk to each other and blank stare with frequent pauses between sentences that ruined the flow of any conversation.
This is a movie about vengeance, not a particularly good story to tell kids. Joe the main character is cursed by Pixies because he missed garbage day and decided to throw his garbage into a river. He literally missed the garbage truck by about 3 seconds, and the truck didn't stop to pick up garbage on any of the other dozen neighboring houses, it literally just stops at Joe's house, sees there's no garbage, and drives off and around the block randomly. Kay.
So Joe throws his garbage into a river and squashes the Pixie kings son, and the pixie king, completely emotionlessly tells a story while his son may or may not die about how pixies will curse people who do them wrong. Kay.
So a these pixes now do stuff like drop books on him or mess with his household appliances, make him slip and fall, etc. but none of it really makes any sense. Like for example, they set off a belt sander at his work. Its not plugged in or anything, you can see the cord dangle along as it races on the floor. It somehow wraps around Joe's leg and drags him all around his shop, where he crashes into things and tires somehow fall on his head, and the shop explodes, but hes okay.
There's a part in the story where he captures a pixie, and puts a glass over top of him to trap him and leaves him there for the day. No matter what this pixie does, he cant move the glass, neither can his friends, because apparently it weights a million pounds to them. Not 20 minutes prior to this scene, we witness two pixies pick up a freaking manhole cover and move it in half a second so Joe falls down it. Kay.
Its just awfully written, awfully scripted and animated, everything is just so bland and random, any parent watching it with their kids will be shaking their head at it.
The kids however, if they're like 4 or 5, will enjoy it, because they think its hilarious when Joe gets hurt, which is kind of the wrong message to be sending here.
I don't know how this movie is rated 6/10. There's nothing here but crap.
