The Bay

Hey, I can enjoy trashy soap operas as much as the next gal, but 'The Bay' is pure babble. Rubbish script and hysterical acting, with dreadful characterisation, this garbage makes 'Days of our Lives' look like Shakespeare in comparison.

This show seemed to have a reasonable premise in early seasons/episodes. As the seasons/episodes progressed it became more and more disjointed and unfathomable. The plot didn't thicken, it sickened. It became such that it could not be followed and was not at all comprehensible. The next failing is the acting. I don't know if they just looked for and found the worst actors on the planet or if this series just made them awful. Not only is the story line unfathomable but the actors are as fake as fake can be. It seems clear that the story line is ridiculous because the acting is so bad...or vice versa. Find another way to spend your TV time....

I just finished watching the Bay and its companion series, the Confession of the Garretts. If you enjoyed Falcon Crest, Santa Barbara, or any of the great soaps, you will love this show.

Mary Beth Evans stars as Sara Garrett, matriarch of the Garrett-Nelson clan. Her character is the heroine with a devious streak. Other cast members include Tristan Rogers, Dylan Bruce, Sandra Robinson, Martha Madison, and Gavin Houston. Lane Davies, the great actor from Santa Barbara, has also been cast.

The does a great job also with diversity.

The Bay is a new soap opera chosen by Les Shepherd and Mariska Hartijay for NBC Public Television. Please air The Bay NBC Afternoons all over the United States and Washington DC.

The actors rate from excellent to outstanding and The Bay have an all-star cast of Soap Opera elites. The show and acting is superb!

This serial is geared for soap opera aficionados only. Soaps are practically extinct now.
