Goldeneye 007 is a great remake of the original. Although sometimes it feels more like COD than a 007 game, I've heard there is an option to change that. I was really surprised that this level of graphics could be accomplished with the Nintendo Wii. This is a great game for teens/adults who don't know what to do with their Wii. What I mean by that is some people criticize the Wii for being a console for kids and grandparents, but when games like Red Steel, Madworld, Resident Evil 4, and this came out, it was a nice surprise as being a game library closer to the Gamecube which wasn't a console advertised for being for grandparents or kids. I like how the motion controls are used. They are NOT clunky, rather well used. The multiplayer is a good time. The multiplayer in the original Goldeneye is better, but this is pretty fun as well. I don't have anything to say about the online features because I played this in 2021 and internet connection for the Wii died 7 years ago. Like I said, the graphics, look great for the Wii. As for the designs of characters, I don't have issues with Bond being Daniel Craig although Goldeneye is a Brosnan movie. Although a part of me thinks how cool it would be if they made Bond Brosnan and had voice acting by him. So I would've rather if they made Bond Pierce Brosnan. Other character designs are pretty standart which is fine. All and all, Goldeneye 007 is worth the average price it's going for in Ebay which is 20 dollars. Worth every penny and should be in your Wii collection if you like first person shooters or James Bond. I love this game even though I haven't seen any Bond films. A 9.5/10 in it's genre and a 10/10 overall.
This was an enjoyable Bond game. One reviewer called it "Fun for the 007 fan who's a casual gamer," and I would agree with that. The learning curve in this game was very easy to cross, and while the gameplay and story aren't going to blow you away, you could definitely do a lot worse.
As a longtime James Bond fan with fond memories of the N64 GOLDENEYE from the '90s, I took a chance and picked up this game. My wife has had the Wii for some time now for her fitness stuff but I never touched it -- in fact, the last video game I'd spent any significant time playing was the original GOLDENEYE almost 15 years ago. I was skeptical of how well a FPS could work on the somewhat limited Wii platform, and am quite honestly not a fan of the controllers (the Remote and the Nunchuk thingee). However, using the Classic Controller (with View control set to "Inverse") made all the difference. So far I'm having a lot of fun playing this game! For a Wii title the graphics look great on our 56-inch TV. The changes to the original plot and the replacement of Pierce Brosnan's Bond with the likeness of Daniel Craig add freshness to the gameplay. So far the solo-player version seems a tad short but it's at least challenging, especially when playing at the higher difficulty levels. The real longevity of the game, of course, lies in its multiplayer capability and I'm looking forward to diving into that.
We didn't get a new Bond movie in 2010, but the revamped GOLDENEYE for the Wii turns out to be a decent substitute.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded first caught my eye on YouTube via a gameplay benchmark test video in 2023. Recently Feb of 2024, I had the chance to complete this game for the first time via RPCS3 emulator on PC using a mouse and keyboard configuration. Thoroughly enjoyed the fast paceness and the suspense offered in the game. In my view, this is hands down one of my favourite Daniel Crag's PS3 Bond game I've ever experienced. The cinematography, excellent. The map level designs, phenomenal. I especially enjoyed marvelling at the mountainous terrains of the snow mission 'Outpost', the sixth level in GoldenEye 007. The mission takes place in the remote Climate Change facility on the island group of Severnaya in the Russian high Arctic. The atmosphere looks and feels icy cold. The plot of the game, excellent. The gameplay mechanics and close quarter combat fights are very well polished. If you've played earlier modern warfare COD games from (2007 - 2011), you'll feel right at home.
Finally, David Arnold's soundtrack has the magical effect of placing the player in the shoes of an MI6 agent executing a risky mission. A bond game without David Arnold's music is an incomplete experience. A great testimony to his work. Now the downside, this game has a minor flaw, it's only console exclusive. Sorry PC users. That said, it's a worthy Bond game deserving of your attention. I recommend this. I rate this 9/10.

When it comes to video-games, there is nothing I enjoy more than a good remake of a classic game. I'd rather have a remake of a superb, 13 year old game (like N64's "Goldeneye"), than a new and original but lousy one. This has been done a few times before with great results: PS1's "Resident Evil" was remade (from scratch) for the Gamecube in 2002, PS1's "Metal Gear Solid" was remade (from scratch) for the Gamecube in 2004 (under the name "Twin Snakes"), and PS1's "Silent Hill" was remade (from scratch) for the Wii in 2009 (under the name "Shattered Memories"). This remake of "Goldeneye" is just as good as those. However, this is more than just a remake of N64's "Goldeneye" from 1997. This is like "Goldeneye" + "all the other cool stuff from the James Bond-franchise" thrown together in the mix and shaken (not stirred). Classic Bond characters like Jaws, Francisco Scaramanga, Oddjob, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Baron Samedi, Rosa Klebb, Red Grant and Julius No, and all the classic guns (including the golden one) are all featured in the multi-player mode. The single player story mode pretty much follows the same story as N64's "Goldeneye" from 1997. The only big difference is that you will be seeing the face and hearing the voice of Daniel Craig, rather than that of Pierce Brosnan. Personally I would have preferred Brosnan. Like I insinuated earlier, this is a remake made completely from scratch. This is not the Nintendo 64-game just printed onto Wii-discs. So you will have the pleasure of seeing the best graphics around. You can play this game with almost every controller ever released by Nintendo since the release of Gamecube: The Wii Remote with Nunchuk, Wii Zapper, Classic Controller, Classic Controller Pro, and the Nintendo GameCube controller can all be used with this game. Oh, and unless you have been living under a rock the last 13 years, you know this is a first-person-shooter. The Collector's Edition of this game includes a limited edition Golden Classic Controller Pro, so what are you waiting for???
P.S. Is it just me or did they stop making games like "Goldeneye"(N64) and "Ocarina of Time"(N64)? Miss those times....

- WissenswertesThis video game was released on the same day as another James Bond video game, James Bond 007: Blood Stone (2010).
- PatzerThe name "Janus" is mispronounced throughout the game. Every character says it like "janice", but the proper pronunciation is like "yanus." Strangely, Judi Dench mispronounces the name in this game despite having pronounced it correctly in the 1995 Goldeneye feature film.
