I watched a couple of these and this just isn't that interesting tbh there aren't the characters like jesse or glenn or eric here. It seems very contrived franchising so this production company can keep going with it as a rice bowl sort of thing. I don't think this will come back either.
It's very strange that the BBC is actually behind these shows and that they didn't start with a similar format in canada as the top level of this series. Meaning everybody is largely in villages and near settlements and even cities like Fairbanks and they roam a few months or are guides like Eric etc Maybe are somehow independently wealthy like Andy from DC with his own village of buildings on the Yukon etc Canada is huge there are folks that have lives up there more interesting surely.
Surely Yellowknife has stuff like this or Hudson Bay area, the Slave Lakes up there, the remote islands or near there in extreme northern Canada but nope we never get any of that this is just typical yukon which we've seen enough of with the other LBZ shows and others. Temperate sea side would be more interesting than snowy plains imo and lots of that up there. From what I remember you have a lot of kids up there just surviving meaning there's no guides or etc
It's actually just go out get your stuff done in 2 hours you're good to hang out all day, this is easier than a 10hr office job or worse distro center where you're almost prodded and timed all day. Imagine one moose hunt takes 2-3 days some ammo and effort for another 2 days and you have meat for 6 months+. Now go to the store buy 1500 pounds of meat see how much and how long you'd have to work to get that, and FDA labeled organic to boot. Sheesh.

Like it's sister show (Alaska) & others from the same TV stable it is spoilt by over loud background music drowning out the cast speaking. These are "reality" shows, not opera. Why not let the natural sound come through without constant background droning like some build up to a Bond movie climax. It really spoils a good programme. Just my opinion.
I always admired Andy and Denise till today! I know they get paid for the show! So why can't they buy some fitting collars for some of the dogs! I noticed on some dogs how tight they were it hurts me as much as it hurts the dogs I'm a big boxer lover and always make sure there is enough wiggle room I hug Ave some collars to donate if they need some! And I'm on fixed income at least Jessie Holmes let's his dogs of the chains a lot to let them run free ! I approve of that I realize they have to be used to that because if mushing but 24 hours a day ?jessie goes for runs with his dogs without constraints it us so nice to see the relation ship between him and his dogs ! I don't see that at all between Andy and Denise and the dogs very seldom ! I can see how they just starving for some human kindness all they get us a pat in the head once in a while ! I never see him play ball or a stick or anything very disappointing! He was much nicer to his dogs when he was single just take a look at firmer episodes!
Good show but Becky needs to stop repeating the same thing for 10 minutes.. her kids cute but give us a break. Might turn down the music too. It's not helping anything.
It's a great service except for when Sue comes on she is so dramatic alway thinking she is going to be attacked by a grizzly of a wolverine
I just watched the episode were she beat her brand new ski_doo with a sledge hammer I understand now she is not right in the head I kind of thought that already. The hailstones are the real deal they live off the land and teaching the kids how to survive another one Glen also lives off the land seems like a interesting guy. Andy and Kate Andy is a smarter guy he also lives off the land very knowledgeable except for when it comes to Kate he never treated her very good.
