It was okay. I didn't laugh as much as I've laughed in the past. He's been my fav comedian for years and I feel like this one just didn't have the same spark as the other specials. A lot of people seemed to like it but the jokes just felt mediocre to me. And edgy jokes just felt forced and more like he was going for shock value rather than being funny. There were parts that a laughed out loud but overall I think this standup will probably be pretty forgettable. I am glad to see him back though. Hopefully he keeps writing and putting out specials, and hopefully they're better than this.
I haven't had laughed this hard in a loooong time and I LOVED it. From start to finish, his material and delivery were as close to perfect as it can get. Punch after punch, joke after joke they landed strongly. Again he did not compromise and went after touchy subjects the way only he can. Classic Louis. (And maybe it was this funny because now he is free from distributors overseeing his work, I dunno.....whatever it is keep it up)
I just wish I was in the audience alongside all those other women giving him an standing ovation.
Louis's two specials since "the incident" are entitled Sincerely and Sorry. Of the two Sincerely is better imo.
Louis has always had a dark edge, but the edge, while still dark is a bit dull from being knocked around in the junk drawer of life. On his worst day he is funnier than 99% of people and I enjoyed every moment of Sorry, but it's not as good as his best work.
Fans of his will enjoy it for sure. It is a bit like seeing an old friend who has been out of circulation for a while. His jokes are his classic style and his delivery is perfect as always, his long career has given him very very good instincts that serve him well. He barely needs to work at it anymore, or at least that's the way it feels.
I wont say it feels like he's "going through the motions" but it's a different Louie tan the one we had before, his mood and tone are just a bit different. He has changed. I reckon some of the changes are good, but some of them may not be.
Good show.

Its what he does.
The first couple minutes was stale, half baked. Then.... LCK finds his groove and tackles every impossible topic you can think of. You can tell he's been sitting on his act for a while, it's sharp and to the point. Honestly... this is one of his best sets. It's brilliant, he goes after literally every controversial topic you can think of, and it's entertaining. Great social commentary without being angry, like Chappelle, or bitter like Burr.
LCK is basically the modern day Carlin. His word play isn't the same, not as directly intelligent... Carlin was Carlin... but LCK attacks impossible subjects, like Carlin did. It might not always be laugh inducing, but it's intelligent, entertaining, like Chappelle.
Glad LCK is back, fantastic set. When he is dead and gone, this will go down as one of his best.

Happy to see louie back.
He does an amazing job with this special.
It's all a fan could ask for.
And I'm happy to see that a quite big portion of the people are going to his shows again.
