Plan B

I will watch anything that has time travel as a premise.

In this one, they made the time travel a simple, yet I think clever idea how they enacted it. To me, the time travel part of these premises is not the method they use to travel back in time, it is what happens after characters get there. The people in the show are not that likeable. None of them. They all have flaws, they all seem selfish, and they all make bad choices. I was really not "rooting" for anyone. I did enjoy each episode. It did not feel groundhog day at all, because it is not like that. A lot of what happens makes sense, the choices our traveler makes, are more realistic then most time travel shows do.

The final episode is brilliant. I loved how they ended it. This is good show. The actors were good and the story was good. I am looking forward to a new story with season two.

I must admit, this show was tough to watch. Not because of the acting or premise, but because of my own past experiences.

The script and acting was so intense, I was immediately drawn in to the story and felt the experiences being played out on screen. I ended up breezing through the six available episodes and was left wanting more, but we never know in this era of streaming where shows are tossed at the first sign of adversity.

If you have a few hours to spare, watch this show and don't stop until you've finished it. You won't regret it when you've reached the end. Here's hoping the show is continued!

A masterful character study on obsession, control, love, and independence. Each episode will leave you emotionally wired.

The first season follows the tumultuous relationship of Philip and Evelyn. Philip is a well-meaning but driven lawyer, while Evelyn is an independent and dedicated cellist. Their relationship is a constant push and pull between love and control and independence, and when Evelyn decides she's had enough, Philip stumbles on the "Plan B" agency, an agency that will allow him to travel back in time to change the past.

With this power, his controlling and obsessive tendencies come to a new head. Given the power to redo the past to perfection, he becomes more and more obsessed with changing the past to protect his relationship and his family. But despite all the changes, we can still see the core of Philip's and Evelyn's characters and flaws remain unchanged.

Fantastic depiction of realistic, nuanced, and flawed characters. The dynamic between Philip and Evelyn is riveting. And the show is not afraid to create some of the most emotionally tense pieces of television I've ever seen. One of the few shows that I haven't been able to binge-watch, since each episode left me too emotionally wired to watch another. Would highly recommend.

What an absolutely horrible depiction of modern women. The story presents women (Evelyn) as selfish and self-absorbed and never happy. A marriage is about compromise and building a family - it is not about "what can you do for me". Sadly, society is far too much about "me".

I think that the best thing that Philip can do is go back in time and erase his relationship with Evelyn. He tries so hard, makes all sorts of compromises, tries to fix all mistakes but Evelyn does not care. How sad that this is not only on TV but is happening more and more in the real world.

The selfishness of women is further displayed in "the baby is mine" because I am the mother and do not care about the father. The father should have equal rights to his child. Thank God that I am not 20 years old in this strange new world.

Plan B attempts to explore the "what if" of decision making. What if we had the option to go back and do it differently? It's not as easy as changing one thing to create the desirable outcome. There are many variables attached. It's an interesting premise to see various versions of the past trying to manipulate the future. The problem is the series is not that engaging. While I was interested enough to see where it would lead, I didn't care about the characters and sometimes found them annoying. As a concept, I found Plan B creative but wish they'd done something more substantial with the set-up. Still the series held my partial attention at times.
