A contemporary ghost story working off classic tropes addled with social commentary regarding addiction and drug use.

Very enjoyable and fun to watch.

I Love LACED.

The comradery between the actors is palpable, especially between the leads, Rodney (DeShawn Long), Mitch (Maarten Olaya) and Lizzy (Jackie Diehl). Their rapid fire discourse carries the film throughout, and make 90 minutes feel more like 60. I laughed. I cried. I wanted to vomit. This movie is definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea. There are no heroes here. Only victims. And lots of spooky scaries along the way.

I will say, it would be interesting to see what this crew could accomplish with higher production values. The film does suffer from glitchy and sometimes erratic sound quality, but this is somewhat compensated for with a piano based score, also from director Colin Marshall.

Technical issues aside, frankly, this is one of the better indie films I've seen this year - a scrappy debut from upstart Best Ghost Video with acting that punches well above this movie's clearly microscopic budget. It is a truly unique film with witty dialogue and foul language throughout, made all the more refreshing by today's climate of endless PG-13 marvel soy banter. The photography has a dated quality that works well with the aesthetic. It recalls the late 90s/early 2000s era of Blair Witch style film making, without taking itself seriously (at all). Bravo.

Some hippie-drug-punk ghost-maniacs maybe not living their best afterlives, but it's a weird ghost-grabbin' dick-smackin' good time! Art!

Low budget indie-horror dramedy with a lot people yelling at each other, lots of cursing, and just lots of curses and cursed things in general. Whole lot of weird stuff going on and happening at the house by the powerlines... it's like a twisted-up rabbit hole? Or things lost forever? Or things betwixt? Or something like that? Hard to say exactly whatever kind of ghoulish fantasy or spooky puzzle box the haunted world of "Laced" fits into...

... it's both manic and depressed? It feels like some kind of wrong, bizarre, drug-fueled episode of Scooby-Doo come to life? There's so just much dark, cheeky fun to be had thanks to some truly wild and brilliant performances.

It's creepy kooky ghoul-punk melodrama in the haunted crackshack of forever.

It's a story that's eating itself, a rabbit hole that's way bigger on the inside than from how it appears on the out. There are not exactly any right or wrong answers here- connections are what you make of them.

A grim portrait of dysfunction and codependency being painted inside a tragic and tangled web of deja-voodoo. People aren't statistics, but we're all ghosts- just not yet. And some are ghostlier than others, and some are ghastlier than others...

...an oddball character-driven melodrama rolled up into strange, totally demented sitcom- set in a cold & lonely painted world w/ ya beautiful, problematic besties.

:) It was such a pleasure being part of this snazzy ghoulish horror film with a twist. From my Director Colin Marshall our Producers and our hard working film crew to my talented co stars y'll taught me so much and I came out of this film set a better actor and human.
