"The Exorcist" (2022) is a film with an interesting and well-run story. The direction of Adrián García Bogliano is correct, the performances are good, highlighting the protagonist María Evoli, who is becoming a well-known face within the horror genre, in addition to the performances of Norma Lazareno, Tina Romero and Diana Bracho who have starred in Mexican horror movie classics. The script is nice with an entertaining story (shown from another perspective in the movie "Prey for the Devil" released this year). The soundtrack can go unnoticed much of the footage but highlights a theme that is very good, obviously influenced by Italian cinema. The special makeup effects are good, but the digital ones fail to stand out. "The Exorcist" leaves a good impression and the many tribute scenes to classics of retro horror cinema are appreciated. A movie worth seeing.
No pun intended obviously - and also do not compare this to the one and only Exorcist movie. It would not do this movie and your viewing experience much good. But if you like horror movies, you probably will not mind too much about that ... or hopefully will be able to accept something like this in your world.
The movie is decent overall, the acting, the script and the effects that is. Overall I reckon it still is predictable, but you can't have it all. Characters may act in a way you don't agree with either, but that would fall under the suspend your disbelief ... very important, not just but even more so with horror movies ... so here goes nothing ... or something! Better start to pray.

La Exorcista is a gripping horror movie that tells the story of a young nun, Ofelia, who is forced to perform an exorcism on a pregnant woman in the town of San Ramon. The movie is filled with suspenseful moments and a thrilling plot that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.
What sets La Exorcista apart from other horror movies is its unique plot-twist. Just when you think the possession has ended, Ofelia discovers that the evil presence has not vanished. This unexpected turn of events adds a layer of complexity to the story that keeps viewers engaged until the very end.
Overall, La Exorcista is a must-watch for horror movie fans. It's an exciting and mind-blowing movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

I watched this movie with no expectation, but after first scene I have to change my mind. It made me quite scared and wonder what would happen. By the way, some moments are cliche and you can met them in typical horror movie. But I see the effort of director to make something different. The way to find down the source of evil is struggle than other movies.
The acting was quite good, the main actress keep their performance stable and make us feel the frightening. Also the movie leghth is enough to make you focus on what happening. The Spanish's concept about devil is very potential and could be expanding in many many more movies.

For the first time in my life, I had to leave the premises of the movie theater. This was just awful, I'm sorry, but this is shameful for any horror fans out there.
The actors had no substance at all, the acting was really poor through the whole movie, there's no story at all just a bunch of scenes that are supposed to scare you but Ibcouldnt feel anything but shame. Shame for the people who wrote this movie, the actors participating in it, and the movie theater company itself, how come they even accepted something like this being played? Me and my GF stayed for 1 hour and then said THATS IT! I'd be surprised if anyone enjoy this film. Watch under your own risk.
