The movie "To Which We Belong" is an inspiring documentary directed by Pamela Tanner Boll and Lindsay Richardson about the stress and overuse of the soil around the globe and the way various scientist groups and farmers look at the healthy benefits of holistic farming. It's alarming how soils in various parts of the world are depleted of nutrients by the practice of growing a single type of crop over and over for the past decades, the documentary provides sustainable, inexpensive solutions for rejuvenating soil, rivers, and consequently providing better pastures, healthier crops and great benefits for all types of live stocks.

The documentary goes beyond by showing the benefits of holistic farming on sustainable kelp farming at sea.

It is uplifting and exciting to see how nature can be regenerated after so much abuse with easy and simple solutions. Also how so many groups of farmers around the World are becoming aware that our ancestors were right in the way they took care of soils, forests, rivers, and wild animals. That everything in nature is part of a cycle: the water that falls from the rain feeds the soil and keeps it moist so that fungi and bacteria can process the carbon thus helping the plants to grow healthy and absorb the water better, and through their perspirations, the plants return it to the clouds.
