Swatantra Veer Savarkar is a new movie coming out. It's about a famous person from India's past. Randeep Hooda is the main actor, and he plays Savarkar. The movie shows his life story, from when he was young to when he fought for India's freedom. It talks about his ideas and struggles. The movie looks very real and makes you feel like you're in the past. Randeep Hooda acts very well, and he makes Savarkar's character come alive. The other actors in the movie also do a good job. The movie makes you think about important things like freedom and history. It's not just a story; it's something to learn from. If you like history and good acting, you might enjoy Swatantra Veer Savarkar.
"Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" completely floored me. It's a powerful cinematic journey that doesn't shy away from the complexities of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a controversial yet undeniable force in India's fight for independence. Randeep Hooda's performance is nothing short of a revelation. He inhabits Savarkar's skin - the steely resolve in his eyes, the unwavering defiance in his voice - making you feel the weight of his struggles and convictions.
As a history buff, I was particularly impressed by how the film weaves a rich tapestry. It seamlessly blends the grand narrative of India's independence movement with the intimate details of Savarkar's personal odyssey. The screenplay is robust and meticulously crafted, offering depth without sacrificing clarity. The dialogues are equally impactful, leaving a lasting impression and often igniting spontaneous applause in the theater.
But what truly elevates "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" is its technical mastery. The cinematography is breathtaking, creating a visually immersive experience that transports you right into the heart of the freedom struggle. You feel the suffocating dampness of Savarkar's cell in Kaala Paani, the electrifying energy of revolutionaries plotting their next move, and the simmering tension of confrontations with the iron fist of the British Raj.
One of the most thought-provoking aspects of the film is the dynamic between Savarkar and Gandhi. Their contrasting ideologies are brought to life through a series of powerful, nuanced exchanges. These conversations highlight the fascinating complexities of India's fight for independence, where different leaders advocated for different paths to freedom. The film doesn't shy away from portraying the friction between their approaches, sparking contemplation about the multifaceted nature of a nation's struggle for self-rule.
It's worth noting that the film isn't without its flaws. The pacing could be tightened in certain stretches, particularly during the first part of the second half where Savarkar is incarcerated. A minor edit of 15-20 minutes could enhance the overall flow without compromising the depth of the story.
Despite this minor drawback, "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" stands out as a remarkable achievement in historical cinema. It's a testament to the passion and commitment of the filmmakers. The film offers a profound and engaging experience that is both educational and entertaining. It left me contemplating the complexities of India's freedom struggle, the legacy of its key figures, and the enduring significance of their fight for self-determination.

Outstanding Acting by Randeep. Its great to see A Hero on screen. SwatantryaVeer Savarkar is like Epitome of Patriotism and Hinduness. He is fountain head of Hindutva Idelogy who runs India now and father of Intellectuallism in India. He is one icon of Dalit Movement. This movie shown all of this with good pace and direction. Randeeps acting is incredible and must to watch. Savarkar is from Land of Hindu King Shree Chatrapati Shivaji ,Maharaj. The movie deserve all the love of Patriot Indians. Must watch movie for everyone. Randeep, Ankita Lokhande all did oustading efforts to make this movie. Epic Tale of Heroism for The Nation.
1857 revolution. One book. One man's belief and determination to bring that revolution in the hearts and minds of every Indian of his time. This is the best biopic that has come out of the Indian film industry. It's accuracy, facts and story telling will keep you hooked for the entire duration of the movie.
Randeep hooda has given the best performance of his career till now and has fully immersed himself into the life of Veer Savarkar. As the movie progresses, you will see the successes and the pitfalls of Veer Savarkar's life and how he was deeply connected to various important figures fighting for independence of India. This movie also unmasks some historical facts that people have been forced to believe for a long time. Watch this movie to learn what you have to unlearn about the fight for India's Independence and why it has been always labelled as a struggle.

Being a maharashtrian ,having studied in the ssc & living in pune meant we have a comparatively larger (at least than the rest of India) awareness of Veer Savarkar in the freedom struggle. I did not, even for a second see any actor in the film. I saw V. D Savarkar, yamunabai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Babarao Savarkar to name a few. It does give you a conversation starter and a large information regarding the freedom struggle. If you risk nothing, then you risk everything is true for the makers of this film. If one is not intrested in history or the politics of it, should atleast see for actors....

- WissenswertesMahesh Manjrekar was to direct the film, however, due to creative differences with Randeep Hooda and his constant interference in the filmmaking led to exit of Manjrekar and Hooda became the director of the film.
- PatzerAt 02:01:00, they discuss about Khilafat, Ambedkar translates it as caliphate, which Gandhi ji corrects to Khilfat. Then someone says Khilafat means opposition. This is wrong. Caliphet is the correct translation for the Urdu word Khilafat, which means rule of Khalifa or Caliph, who is highest authority on Islamic religious issues. The correct translation for Opposition is Mukhalifat.
