Love Like the Falling Petals

I thought I was prepared emotionally when I decided to see this Japanese film, «Love Like the Falling Petals» in Netflix. The title itself gives a premonition how the plot of the story will evolve. Yet when it ends, it somehow gives a much deeper impact. Yes, it is heartbreaking... and yes, it is heartwarming. It reminds me of the Taiwanese series «More Than Blue». Both revolve around a young couple whose endearing love was brutally hindered by the twist of fate.

One thing for sure though, these two dramas are undoubtly gifted with excellent performances, especially the male leading roles. They are just fantastic actors and actresses!

I still can't get over K and Cream's most unselfish love to each other in «More Than Blue». This time, it is Harutoo and Misaki's.

Feel the happiness and the sadness they feel... and be enchanted how true love can give us pain and satisfaction.

Much better than i was expecting and surprised me a lot.

The story is very sad, but also very beautiful!! Man i was crying a little in some scenes.

The acting is beautiful, congrats to the main couple and everybody else!

Such a sweet movie. Of course it's not that good because doesn't developed the love story, everything went very fast , but the characters have chemistry and they're actually really cute together. I really like the colors and the photograph of the movie, love this kinda of Japanese movies they always pass the feelings and make me feel emocional.

A very sweet but tragic story with the only ending it could have. Still, there is a beauty and tenderness as well: sometimes love stories do not close the way we want them to, but the power of the love remains. And that's the point. The writing is a bit erratic in places, but the actors, especially the leads, do well with the difficult subject.

I liked how the main characters encouraged each other. I liked how they started to enjoy each other's company more and more.

The honest emotions of what happened next and the portrayal of the emotions was very touching and done to really invoke empathy.

It was really surprising to see what happened and how things progressed.

Just seeing how things can happen in life and the way love can unfold is something else.

It's hard to talk about this movie without giving away spoilers.

The movie's end other than the obvious emotions, I like how it drew from nostalgia and appreciating the other person.
