The Forgotten - Die Wahrheit stirbt nie

REALLY good show! Even overlooked it myself at first. Wanted to see it when it first came out, but it was on opposite one of my faves. Now, I usually watch this. If I can't catch it, I make SURE to dvr it!!!! All of the stories and actors are great in it! I have always been a fan of Christian Slater, and the other actor are up to his caliber. Elisha Cuthbert is a new and welcome addition! The story lines are very different from all the other detective shows. Instead of focusing on the criminal, this show focuses on the victim. It's all about identifying the "John Does" and "Jane Does" of this country. It focuses on putting some closure for some families out there. How many families a year have loved ones missing out there, when there are plenty of "Does" in our morgues and cemeteries? A much welcome and fresh new take on the "detective" genre. To the network,PLEASE keep it on the air!

This show was not your usual "CSI" type of production. I was impressed by the cast's way of depicting very different people from various walks of life who wanted to volunteer their personal time to identify someone who died "nameless". It was a terrific concept and I am sure it has inspired any number of people to pursue involvement in this worthy cause. So why did ABC nix the show?? I felt let down and disappointed that the show was discontinued. There are so many "dumb" reality shows on TV right now. Why isn't a show like this one valued when it is based on real and very sad circumstances that can turn out in a positive way for families who have missing children etc.?

I am stating my opinion as to wondering why they took the forgotten off the air. I am beyond angry for doing such a stupid move! I want them to bring back the forgotten with the same actors and actresses. This is one of the best shows that I've watched since Jaws. So now my question is, "When are they going to bring back the forgotten?" Christian Slater is one of my favorite actors and I would love to meet him in person so that I could let him know personally. The other characters in the forgotten was also amazing people as they are a team. You do not want to break up a team! I have been watching this show on DVR and it is actually a very good show. My wife told me that it was not doing very well in the ratings game so I figured I would do what I can to let it be known that there are people who love this show and would be sad to see it go. In every episode, they start with a body or, in some cases, body parts. Throughout the show you get a little more information until, at the end, they show you exactly what happened. I like it better than CSI, Bones, or any of the other similar shows. Perhaps that is the problem; the forgotten has been preceded by so many similar shows that people are tired of the same old same old. But give this show a try.

While flipping through channels one day, I came across the previews for this show and decided to give it a shot. Turns out I ended up liking it even more as things progressed in the first episode with ample character development and a plot with many twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat at a steady pace. The key aspect that clicked with me was the dynamics of this amateur group of detectives that have their reasons for joining in the fight for justice for those that have become "forgotten" by deadly circumstances beyond their control and with sheer determination and will, they become personally and emotionally involved in the case. With all the other crime shows out now, I would say that "The Forgotten" is nicely ranked up there with the likes of "CSI", Criminal Minds, and of course Cold Case. Lets hope ABC rests their laurels on this one. One of the best crime shows on the air.
