The Souain corporals affair.

A very touching story: Theophile Maupas is teacher in the village of Chefresne: the Second World War begins and the corporal Théophile Maupas is sent to the front. Blanche Mupas receives some letters of is husband and share these letters with her two daughters. Then the village has to celebrate the burial of the first soldier dead in the war. Then Blanche knows that her husband has died and that he is has been executed by a firing squad in an example-three other corporals have been executed at the same day-. Blanche decided to known the truth about the death of her husband: the "Amicale des Instituteurs de la Manche" will help to find some witnesses of the event and Blanche will fight for 20 years for the rehabilition of of husband and finally on March 1934 a special court agreed to exonerate the four corporals.

I enjoyed the performances of Romane Bohringer, Thierry Frémond, Jean-François Garreaud and Xavier Maly.
