Der Kandidat (1937) is the first Betty Boop cartoon to be featured on "Toon In with Me", as well as the first non-Popeye cartoon from Paramount/Fleischer Studios to make it onto the show. Other Fleischer Betty Boop cartoons had already appeared on MeTV's Saturday morning "Popeye & Pals" cartoon block. The cartoon is presented in an unrestored U.M.&M. television print.
