I like Kevin Nealon as an actor, I think he's a decent one, but even someone like him can't save the atrocity to television. The show is about the Martin family, an obnoxious family of annoying, tech-savy disgusting-looking clay figures. The father, Glenn Martin (Kevin Nealon), a dentist, decides to tear them away from their materialistic needs in an attempt to make a stronger family, puts them in an RV and takes away their cell phones, gaming consoles, etc. Now, the plot sounds pretty good, I'll admit it HAD potential, but this was advertised as a comedy, but the laughs are missing. The character's personalities are annoying (and they look ugly). The animation is exceptionally bad (Good example: "Moral Orel") and the writing is poor. The jokes are terrible and immature. Honestly, I feel as if I've wasted my time. This attempt at comedy...I haven't seen such a terrible attempt at comedy since Disaster Movie (Yes, I went there). Please, Nick at Nite, go back to running re-runs of 80-90's sitcoms. Do what you do best, and replace Glenn Martin, DDS with a show like...Alf? Actually, I can't picture Alf on N@N, so forget that...
Terrible, terrible trash. If the episode I just saw speaks for the series everyone connected should be ashamed of themselves, a very unfunny "send up" (I guess) of the Amish. By the way, where did the responsibility of television networks go? Nick is showing this at 8 with clearly inappropriate material for kids carrying right over from the 7:30 show. Like when ABC "Family" shows Cruel Intentions in its prime time slot. This one is not just in-appropriate, its in-funny, it reminds me of a poorly written Back to the Barnyard episode with a really bad laugh track. It really doesn't deserve ten lines of comments except thats what IMDb insists on now. I can't think of a TV show I've seen recently (except for Back to the Barnyard) that rivals this one in non-entertainment.
Nick@Nite has gone through its fair share of annoying shows. But "Glenn Martin DDS" is so beyond annoying. It's simply repulsive. The show is too ridiculous to be taken seriously by adults, and far to inappropriate for children. It makes humor out of absolutely disgusting scenes and deaths, and the characters are so ridiculously annoying, particularly the teenage son. The fake laugh track is the least of this show's problems. Nick@Nite has a bad habit of putting on excellent shows and then canceling them as soon as the viewers start to really like it. But for them to get rid of the classics like "Cosby Show", "Roseanne", and "Home Improvement", and instead to replace it with "Glenn Martin DDS", which no one in their right mind would want to watch, absolutely boggles my mind. Please, Nick@Nite... haven't you ever heard of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? PLEASE get rid of this show. I not only make it a point NOT to watch, but if I happen to catch a glimpse of it, I am just repulsed. This show is so inappropriate and disgusting that it makes people of all ages squirm in their seats.
I have recently been introduced to Glen Martin DDS as I was watching a video of channel surfing 2009. I searched the show up on Google and found that the first season was officially on YouTube with the second season being on Tubi. After watching the first season, I have to say that it's underrated. For one I enjoy the animation style and I think it's rather intriguing and new compared to the traditional ways of animation. The writing is simple but also somewhat sophisticated at the same time. The jokes are alright but can be a bit to reliant on crude/potty humor, however there are some clever political, social, cultural references throughout the program. That being said there are some scenes in this show that wouldn't fly in today's climate, most notably a scene where one of the main characters calls a transgender women a "he/she" a term that is quite offensive and insulting to members of the LGBTQ community, there's also quite a bit of homophobic jokes in it so yeah.
On content side of things, this was aired on NICK@NIGHT, a programing block on nickelodeon aimed at teens and young adults. Though there was some controversy with it originally airing at 7:30pm especially with it being aired right after SpongeBob despite containing crude and suggestive humor, sexual situations, course language (damn, ass, piss) and somewhat graphic violence. The show is rated TV:PG DLSV, however I would say that this program is more so TV:14 due to both the overt and frequent sexual references and the violence that can be quite gruesome at times.
Overall a decent program with some issues.

This show is very funny. There are many previous comments that this is one show that should not have a future, especially on nick. I'll agree that this show has NO business airing prior to 11pm, especially on either of the two nick channels. It actually has a regular time slot on 'TheN' network at 11pm on Mondays but I have seen it at other times on the other two networks. Message to everyone with negative comments - Stop being so stiff lipped and loosen up. It is just a simple show with simple plots and very funny delivery. The actors (or voices, at least) do a great job and I hope this show continues. I'm very surprised to read that even a Robot Chicken fan doesn't approve of this show. Now I really can't believe that. Robot Chicken is very, very 'Adult'only or 'Crude', yet it has a huge following and great success on Cartoon network, as well as on DVD. This show isn't as bad as your average episode of that series. I hope that there are some IMDb users that see this series for just what it is, funny, NOT for kids, and just 22 minutes of fun. Besides, since when does a 'Nick at Nite' lineup have a big following from kids? Let's run through some of the past and present shows on the network: Taxi, Who's the Boss, The Nanny, George Lopez, Cheers, Three's Company, Roseanne!!! All both inappropriate and misunderstood by kids. Have I made my point? Do I need to continue? Bottom line, JUST DON'T WATCH GLENN MARTIN DDS IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT!!! There are only about 400 other channels to watch at any given moment.
