The House Arrest of Us

This is my review of the series early on the series : This show is basically about two people's marriage that is being made difficult by their overbearing families. The first few episodes were a bit too much. The attempts of comedy were pretty bad, some jokes didn't land that well, especially because they were too on the nose. Almost everyone is over-acting, and the jokes were over exaggerated. But it does get a bit better later on.. The whole Quarantine concept could've been done a lot better. The parents were really frustrating especially in the first few episodes but they seem to be getting better.

Perfect timing for ecq. OK with family and super Beauty Story.

The only issue is how fast the transitioning of scenes are and I get why they had to do that. Comedy has to have that fast flow to continuously deliver jokes without having dead air. Not a fan of filipino films, but this is well done.

For this being a Filipino movie, I find it really really well made. I can't go further into detail because I might spoil it but I will just counter the person below that wrote 2 stars in this movie. So the person's review states : "A typical Filipino movie; exaggerated, trying hard to give comedy, no climax in the movie or would not carry the emotions of the viewers. Plain. Typical/ordinary. " First of all , being a typical Filipino movie isn't a bad thing and having watched alot of Filipino movies, I can assure you that this movie isn't typical. I mean this was about a broke guy and a rich girl trying to get married at quarantine. Ever seen a similar Filipino movie with a similar sypnosis ? Most likely not because there isn't. This is the only Filipino movie with that sypnosis. I agree with you on it being "exaggerated" and "trying to hard to give comedy" however there were an adequate amount of scenes to make it genuinely funny and an adequate amount of scenes for it to be understated. This movie is not all about exaggeration and trying to hard to give comedy but I will remove a point because it does happen alot thus I can see where you're coming from . But I will wholeheartedly disagree on this following statement: "no climax in the movie or would not carry the emotions of the viewers. Plain. Typical/ordinary." This statement is entirely wrong "no climax" "would not carry the emotions of the viewers" "plain" "typical/ordinary" Honestly, I will remove another point because I realized that the transition of scenes rushes at times which doesn't give us enough time to process with the emotions being carried by movie but not all and every scenes, but it does alot of times (for example : something happy was happening then boom another minute later it jumps to becoming a really sad scene and later on another minute passes by, they become happy again) . However, there are also an adequate amount of scenes wherein it transitions the emotions of the scene without having to rush , giving us enough time to figure out what is going on thus giving us time to process the emotions getting carried by the movie. Anyways, the part wherein the person said : "would not carry the emotions of the viewers" is false and I disagree with it. Lastly, the terms "plain" "typical/ordinary" has also been proving wrong as I provided the sypnosis of the movie at the beginning of my review which I thought was unique because there aren't any movies with a similar plot like it so I also disagree with this statement. In conclusion : This movie is really good and entertaining, please do not hesitate to watch this for this is really fun to watch. But it does become exaggerated with its humor and the scenes transitions way too fast at times. However all in all , it is still a really good movie which can make you laugh and cry. Really good , I rate it 8.5 If I can but I can't since there is no half star.

It's so nice that the two main characters of this series are actually lovers in real life! It's sweet and it makes their scenes so much easier and authentic to watch. One of the reasons why I enjoyed it is because I watched it with my grandma and mama. We had tons of laughs but also some moments when the jokes weren't funny. Sometimes Kathniel's sweet-talk would be annoying but there are also times when they seem really genuine and not acting at all. It's a good watch because it's relatable, the characters are funny(most of the time), I like Gardo, I like Rufus, and lastly, it teaches us life lessons. It reminds us that relationships require dedication, responsibility, control, and money. Good short series. I'm glad they only made it 13 episodes and not too dragging. Go Kathniel!
