Fallout

Surprisingly good and well made show. It looks like well thought out and planned too.

Characters have depth, stories and back stories, acting is good, production value is high. Accuracy to the world of Fallout is immaculate. The world of Fallout is being introduced to TV quite well, and the story is slowly expanding. Occasionaly overly intricate, while the good side of that, is that following seasons will continue on story-rich.

Use of practical props and amount those made for the show is admirable.

Show as a whole with no major flaws, can be upgraded to even higher levels.

No too much diving into heavy drama, character drama, and all the stuff that, truth to be told, does not exist in video games overall, or more accurately said, there is no emphasis on that in video games mostly. Still, characters in Fallout show have more than solid development and arcs, often leaning or entering into drama, while kept a video game style, for this case true Fallout games style, that are still just a starting point in the first season, building for multi season series. Very similar is with the world building, that is immense, while paced to avoid being too overwhelming, considering how big the Fallout world is, and over what long time period it extends, while also is a story-telling tool, simplest example of that is the airship seen, arrived all the way from the East/North East US, with a mid-stop likely in Utah, ultimately all the way West..

In addition to massive lore and extensive source material, show on its own, same as the source material itself, doesn't make it obvious, doesn't spoon feed, and instead frames it into several layers, of which two of the most importance are surface easy going, and in depth complex below. The former mostly serves distraction by fun and enjoyment, the latter tells what actually is what..

Very dynamic show, always on the move, something is going on constantly. Things, and for that matter, lots things, are happening always, as well as the plot, sub-plots, sub-stories, story, and characters that constantly move..

Fallout is a great watch, a lot of fun and enjoyment, still not that simple, deceptively smart actually, with a flavour of satire and dark humour, so paying attention is recommendable..

Soundtrack consisting of mid-twentieth century tunes is Fallout standard, while "the score", meaning original themes made for the TV show are anything and everything from haunting to epic. Overall excellent sound, and for that matter, the show looks great too..

Filming for season 2 is finished, or just about to be..

Tv series Fallout is back and it's great! Weekly releases will take a little bit longer for entire S2 to air, and that is OK.

Looking at the S2E1 a step up and significant upgrade in all areas and domains is noticeable, and the production is An Upgrade for sure.

The Ghoul and Lucy "wastelanding", Norm "breaking out", all the flashbacks, and all the stuff with the Brotherhood that will follow up, and "The Looming Shadow" the Enclave looming from the shadow..

Likely S2 will be another blast!

This show surprised me with how good it actually is. No "message". Not overtaken by "modern themes". Just good characters, doing their thing, part of a good story, fitting to what the show is. There obviously is a satire as a remark about some real world aspects and the real world as a whole, but that is nothing new for Fallout, and not an out of nowhere "modern" addition.
