A Round Trip to Love

Tonight, i decided to watch this movie, because it has been in my watchlist for a while. I think I hyped it up in my brain, because I've seen it being mentioned a lot. No matter where I searched, I could only find this movie in a microwave quality. I was 10 minutes in and I already didn't know what was going on. The characters weren't written and it seemed like the story was also pretty rushed. The ,,kiss scenes" weren't really that, they either didn't show it at all or kissed eachothers chin and I get it's because of the heavy censores of China, but still it was very funny. I could only manage watching it for five minutes before checking how much is still remaining from it.

But overlooking the bad things it was very entertaining. Half of the time I didn't know what was going on and it was extremally unrealistic, but still a fun watch.

Overall, I think I only recommend it if you're very bored or you're just looking for something dumb, but I'll defenietly never watch this again, unless I'm forcing my friends to suffer through it with me.:)

This Chinese BL movie is the perfect example of China's homophobia. You know the drill, two boys in high school fall in love with each other, both their parents condemn their relationship and giving them ultimatums, they ended up separated. It's all Chinese people ever wanted for all of their gay people : separation or death. Don't get me wrong, the first half of the movie is pretty good. The other half is bad, at least in my opinion. That's why I deducted 1 star from my initial rating.
