This Lady Called Life

Emotional. Inspiring. Family. Okay acting There's these weird message this movie sends that i hate. Its like your suppose to take all the pain from an abusive parent and forgive them in the end to be labelled a 'good child'. You're supposed to still love them unconditionally and miss the chances life gives you for your horrible parent. Hate that.

The movie had a very strong and compelling story line, with the lives and struggles of the characters touch so close the realities of many people in the audience.

The acting was very good and the choice of locations was perfect.

I love the characters and how they unfold. Really sweet and relaxing movie. Think Love Jones.

I'm usually not psyched about watching Nollywood films but this is definetly one of those you just can't afford to miss especially if you love love. The story was very crafted and the actors portrayed all the emotions in such a beautiful way. It's definitely one you will love to watch over and over again. Well done to everyone involved in the film making process. I was really impressed.

The trailer did a tremendous injustice because this film was mind-blowing! A remarkable fusion of fine actors and storytelling

---Acting was ridiculously natural. Bisola and Efa were just mmm mmm 😍 It was great to see Wale Ojo in a humble role. As always Tina Mba nailed it

---The storytelling portrayed genuine women's feelings by showing Aiye's internal reactions when talking with people.

We admired her determination to move away from the single mother stigma and her desire to shower her son with the love she never received from her mother

BLAND

---Color grading/lighting could have been more refined; certain scenes unjustly looked dark obstructing some actors' faces

---This Lady Called Life focuses on Aiye's quest to become a chef, yet, the ending scenes didn't show her career's end result

---Editing was not quite delicate; e.g., the score and soundtrack were, a few times, quickly cut and replaced by other ones

---The hostile amateur chef character could have been more developed to enrich the story; he barely had any lines to deliver.
