The framed diploma over which the Flavio character is preparing and snorting cocaine is supposed to be a life-career achievement recognition to him from the TV show "En familia con Carmelo", a clear reference to the real and classic TV show En familia con Chabelo (1967). The name of the co-screenwriter Celso R. García appears in the diploma as the producer of the fictional TV show, and the date in the diploma "4 de Octubre" (October the 4th) is a reference to director's Francisco Payó González birthday.

And the real Javier López (I) aka "Chabelo" acted years later as the fictional filmmaker Bruno Sánchez Félix in the movie Volando Bajo (2014), also written by Francisco Payó González.
