The Republic of Sarah

I find the reviews so confounding. Maybe it's a USA thing? Elsewhere in the world the story is engaging, familiar and charming.

Admittedly this is no Homeland, but it held my attention, while Walker (as an example -which was tenewed) made me want to headbutt a wall.

We don't watch the CW for intensely intellectual shows, but this hit a sweet spot. Also "woke" should be banned from reviews, the use of the term is lazy.

Any country ruled by the Queen has to vote for independence, that is many, many countries colonised the English invaders.

Anyway, The Republic of Sarah is interesting and engaging. And like any show you're supposed to suspend disbelief and enjoy, not nit pick.

I hope no one believed there were actual vampires, hunters, werewolves etc while watching The Vampire Diaries or a homicidal teenager while watching Pretty Little Liars? Just enjoy it.

Unique idea for a TV show. Takes a fun spin on a serious subject. Sometimes, a bit too much fun with the idea. They make the civics duration a little too simplistic. Flying off the seat of their pants for something so serious gets a bit old quickly.

The idea it self come has real word connections to the modern age and events :

• US vs Canada dispute
• Spacex clearing by threats of imminent domain the Boca Chica village

(there are more but this are close to home and they happened in recent years and each one made a splash)

One can only wonder if things would take this turn as the possibility does exist ...

..... the writing is not the best and there is lots of empty and boring dialogs and drama that is not needed and it could be better but its not

its not a 10 and its not a 9 and i grade 8 stars only and only for the idea concept and to bad they screwed everything alse.

Turned out to be executed as a horrible soap opera with all the trope you'd expect from one. Held on til the last episode hoping it would turn around but just couldn't watch past 5 minutes. Not surprised it was cancelled.

I don't understand the negative reviews. The show is entertaining and has a rather interesting concept -- probably situations none of us ever thought about before. Sit back and relax! Give the show a chance!
