Somewhat exaggerated photographic memory, but combined with intriguing criminal analysis makes it highly addictive from the beginning. For reasons, perhaps due to the need to drag on the story for a 16-episode series, common sense went free falling from around episode 10.
A normally busy road, suddenly becomes deserted where a senior cop lay unconscious from day till night at a traffic junction with a crashed car, a gun and nobody noticed. The serial killer seemed all powerful, he could access any office he wants, even in a police station there were gunshots and all the cops just watched a crime being committed and did nothing, there were also no security cameras to identify the perpetrator.
Poor editing or story writing ?

What made this experience even more special was the commitment to a high level of professionalism, without resorting to inappropriate conversations or embarrassing +18 scenes. The events were engaging, well-thought-out, and full of details that kept the viewer immersed without feeling bored. The characters were strong and well-developed, with a cohesive plot that made following the story highly enjoyable.

The impression of the title and released poster of this drama first caught my attention. Aside from Jang Hyuk's casting, investigative series is quite fun to watch. So I had high hope that this would give me rides of hurly-burly.
Well, this drama is not at best of my expectation, however, it never lets me go. You can expect layers of villains that hold grip the viewers to satisfy their curiosity. The dark vibes, the brutality, and gruesomeness of the killing method are linked to the thrilling elements. I say, I enjoyed the first episode to eight, quite emotional and intense, but after that, I feel like it started going downhill.
The story is heavy, but it seemed something was missing. I find some repeated scenes like running out of steam, and some storytelling needlessly convoluted. Character's development of the main two leads is reliable, while some are just plainly flat and overdone. Acting-wise is good, but not that superb. The plot twist doesn't surprise me since my guess was right.
Is this drama worth watching? of course, I'm just telling it's still entertaining.

It's about a series of police investigations with an overriding story about a not very believable serial killer. His behavior is too inconsistent to be believed. He's been dormant for five years but reappears for no good reason. The series is not well written but it is photographed and edited to be compelling. It's a very stark and dark viewing experience and sometimes it is grotesque. There are quite a few strangulations. The plot doesn't always make any more sense than the serial killer does. The investigators seem to pluck clues out of thin air, for example, and then have to explain those clues to each other and to us. This vortex of a series got so bizarre that it sucked me in for fun. Award winning actor Jang Hyuk plays an eccentric loner who makes dubious (to me) pronouncements about criminal minds. His character and two fine actresses playing his lady associates helped to keep me watching although I kept being tempted to stop. 7 stars.
Jang Hyuk is a brilliant actor and one of my favorites. The rest of the cast was also good, writing was until last episodes, and the series worked well for me until the last few episodes when there was so much violence it felt way over the top. Then there were repeated scenes like they were running out of steam. And, seriously, a cop who holds a gun on a really bad guy repeatedly yet never pulls the trigger. At any rate, mostly a good series with the too-frequent series issues of not being able to remain great until the end.
