This movie sucks. The only thing that saves it from 1/10 is that its a good cast and feels like a quality production compared.
First of all, the plot is silly. Silly plots can work if the script is funny. This was not. The characters are totally unbelievable and boring. For instance, having an FBI agent who works alone on the field and is bad at his job just feels old and boring. The dialogue sometimes doesnt make sense and is unbelievable. The movie wants to be a comedy but its just not funny. I didnt laugh once during the movie. I believe I smirked once at one of the comments from the main characters parents, but that was about it.
I finished the movie although I was very bored halfway through it. Afterwards I feel like it didnt give me anything. Not an interesting story, not interesting characters, extremely poor dialogue. Just not entertaining in any way.

It is what it is. Brilliant, hell no. Good, yes. Wjat I enjoyed the most is Pierce joked about Bond.
Classic Adam Sandler's comedy film. It's ridiculous yet funny. Sonce Sandler is way too old to play leading role, he got a new blood tool over, Adam Devine. Devine used his cheerful stupid but smart characteristic well.
Nina Dobrev was an eye candy.
Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin worked well acting-wise but I don't see good chemistry. It's like watching Brosnancs friend-zone invite to a wedding party.
Richard Kind and Julie Hagerty were spot on. They are so seasoned that they make you smile everytime they have screen time.
The biggest surprise and very funny act is Michael Rooker. Known as villains in most of his movies, he played bumbling FBI agent like a pro comedian. It's like he embodied Peter Seller's Pink Phanter.
The only problem is, as commonly found in a feel good comedy movie, The Out-Laws is not memorable. It's a movie you put on the cable channel again and again. If you jave Netflix subscription, watch it. If not, it's not to die for.

Considering some of the garbage netflix has released recently I was expecting this to have a better review. Was this a ground breaking film? Absolutely not but it's a comedy with Adam DeVine you'd think people would know what they're getting into. Like most comedic actors he has one role he normally plays, in his case an idiot. He does it well and I laughed the entire movie. Maybe it was the edible I ate who knows but this movie was very enjoyable for me. Everyone was good/funny and it was a refreshing plot for a comedy. Are you gonna wanna see this in 70mm in imax? Probably not but it'a a solid movie for a night in.
Unfortunately I can not think of a single good thing to say about this movie. It's bad. Really, really bad. The script is terrible. I assume the actors only did this to pay off a debt. Adam Devine is easily the worst lead actor in cinematic history, so I hope he rakes in the Razzie Awards. Well deserved.
Adam Sandler produced this train wreck, so I didn't have high expectations in the first place. Those expectations were lowered almost immediately. Not even Pierce Brosnan could save this terrible movie.
If you have the "outlaw" in-laws holding a gun to your head, then sure, watch it. But if you a sock drawer that needs sorting or drying paint that needs watching, do that instead.

This film fails to offer any innovative elements, presenting the typical formulaic goofy drama we've seen before. Adam's performance, while expectedly goofy, can often be tiresome and overly exaggerated.
Imagine the feeling when someone shares a particularly bad joke, and you find yourself laughing not because it's genuinely funny, but because of how poorly executed it is. That's the best way to describe this film. It may not be inherently funny, but there are occasional moments that elicited laughter due to the way they were presented. However, if approached from a different angle, the underlying concept of this film isn't entirely devoid of potential.
I have mixed feelings regarding the time I invested in watching this film. Given that I didn't have any preferable alternatives, I can acknowledge that while it wasn't particularly enjoyable, it also didn't completely disappoint me.

- WissenswertesIn the opening scene, Owen is wearing shorts with long socks pulled up near his knees. This is to cover scars that Adam Devine has from being injured as a child.
- PatzerDespite the film being set in Philadelphia, the car chase scene where Owen tries to tail his fiance's parents shows a sign with a Georgia SR 10 sign and is ultimately stopped at the intersection of Ralph McGill Blvd - a major thoroughfare near downtown Atlanta.
