This series is just worth the watch, inspite of perhaps a bit of a stretch somewhere in between. Otherwise, every single thing in the storyline is amazing-the vibe, the makeup, the clothes, the acting, the characters the background music, the direction, the cinematography... One can go on.
With tv series releasing every so often nowadays, hoping for trps, this one didn't much care for the trps. Their main focus and intention was to give the audience a really refreshing tale of love, friendship, ambition and parenting. And it can be seen in the storyline too! With incidents that are so relatable to real life, one has guaranteed experienced several of the things depicted in this show.
No drama with hero/heroine and villains coming into picture. Just plain and pure characters, finding out their own flaws and dealing with their problems, in the most humanly way possible.
The show has depicted several relevant and really meaningful situations of life, be it marrying again, even if you're kinda old, or not even being married at the age of 40/45. How dating apps are totally cool for the older generation to use too! How the younger generation faces conflicts in professional and personal life, and how they commit mistakes and learn from them (for real and not just like some preachy types).
And the best part? It is a FINITE show. They stuck to the main topic, got it done with few problematic situations here and there, and voila, situation under control! The tv series is over!
In the times where OTT is ruling Indian hearts, if creators are looking for hooking Indian audiences to their television screens and not phone screens, they better look up to MDKD!
