From the moment you spot the continuity error in the opening scene (hey, how'd that shoe stand up by itself, and wasn't she still wearing the other one in the previous shot?), the tone is set for a by-the-numbers-coloured-within-the-lines vampire flick that wouldn't even make it on to the SciFi channel.
The pacing's too slow, there are scenes that don't move the story forward, and a sad attempt at "gay's good, bigots bad" morality with a pointless bashing and a sexual awakening that seems to be there for no reason then someone wanted to film some girl on girl action.
Even if this film had more nudity then one costume nip slip, that wouldn't create any real interest. This isn't a film to watch with your love interest, it's the film you put on when you really don't care what's on the screen while you make out with the sound just loud enough that the rest of the house can't hear what your really doing.
It looks like one of those "Shot On Red, Same As Everyone Else Does" films, with no imagination or daring in the camera angles and make up, and a sound track that sounds like they wanted to try and make and '80's Vampire film.
Go watch Lost Boys or Buffy instead.
The only imaginative thing about it, is the fake 10 point reviews from the film makers freinds.
This film begins at a clandestine laboratory somewhere in Romania with research being conducted on living human subjects. To that effect, a nurse by the name of "Izabella" (Jessica Alonzo) enters one of the locked rooms to administer some kind of medication and upon doing so is savagely bitten by the patient. Realizing that she will now become a test subject she escapes from the laboratory leaving the lead scientist to handle the chaos that follows. The scene then shifts to America where a single woman by the name of "Jennifer" (Natalie Martins) is being pressured by some of her female colleagues to go to a night club with them. She reluctantly agrees and it's during this time that she meets Izabella who seduces her and not only infects her with the same virus but subsequently turns her into a vampire in the process. What Izabella doesn't realize, however, is that the police have identified her as a suspect into several murders recently committed within the city and they are rapidly closing in on her location. Now rather than reveal any more, I will just say that I happened to see the poster for this movie while browsing the internet and thought it might be an interesting film to check out. Sadly, I was very disappointed overall due to a number of rather obvious flaws. For starters, the director (Charlie Steeds) seems to think that scenes involving gay and lesbian sexuality somehow meshes well with modern vampire lore. From what I understand, he initially filmed an orgy scene of that nature but was prohibited by the producer from including it into the final release. Personally, I thought the scenes of a sexual nature he was allowed to include weren't all that important to the overall story anyway. So, whether he was trying to stir up some controversy or make a point of some kind didn't really matter. But that's just my personal opinion and others may disagree. Regardless, there were two other issues which stood out even more with the first being Izabella's phony accent which became worse the longer the film lasted. The other problem concerned the fangs worn by Izabella which looked much too cheap and artificial-even for a low budget production of this nature. For what it's worth, there were a couple of good things to note with the acting on the part of Natalie Martins and Peter Nofsgard (as her gay roommate "Jack") being solid enough for the most part. Likewise, the lighting and background music was also adequate as well. Be that as it may, none of these attributes were even remotely good enough to compensate for the problems noted earlier and I have rated this film accordingly. Below average.
I will start out by saying that at least writers Sam Ashurst, Jerome Reygner-Kalfon, Sebastien Semon and Charlie Steeds tried. They failed, but at least they tried.
I sat down to watch director Charlie Steeds's 2020 movie "Vampire Virus", as I do like horror movies, and vampires are iconic screen monsters, so of course there was some appeal to this movie.
Turns out that I might as well have skipped on "Vampire Virus", because the storyline was just so mundane and bordering on being pointless that it was somewhat of a struggle to sit through the entire movie. I did manage to do so, though I can't really claim that I was particularly entertained by what this movie delivered.
The acting in the movie was adequate, although you should not expect to be blown away by any overly impressive accomplishments. I didn't recognize a single actor or actress in the movie. It should be said, though, that their acting performances are severely hindered by a total lack of proper script and storyline, and the fact that the written characters in the movie were so boring and devoid of characteristics, didn't really do much to put the performers in a good light.
For a vampire movie, then "Vampire Virus" was just a swing and a miss. The movie came and went without as much as a bite or a hiss. If you haven't heard of this movie, don't worry, you're not missing out on a great moment in vampire cinema.
I am still trying to figure out how a movie like "Vampire Virus" with a total lack of a proper script and storyline even makes it through production.
And before I forget, I have to mention the vampire teeth on the vampires in the movie. Wow. Just wow. Are you kidding me? Those were seriously the worst prosthetics that I have ever seen in vampire movies. It was so bad that it looked even worse than the plastic teeth you can buy for kids in stores around Halloween time.
My rating of "Vampire Virus" is a mere two out of ten stars. You might want to skip on this movie entirely, because it is a waste of time, money and effort. If you enjoy vampire movies, there are many other and better choices of movies to pick from.

Terrible movie.... just a mild step above a high school movie project.
Very bad acting, poor script, no real story-line.
Seriously, using strawberry desert sauce for blood just does not work.
The way this movies is described and they way it was panning out, I was waiting for the sex scene..... but it never happened.
This is a terrible movie.... why bother making it?

Breathtaking. I was not expecting such tremendous performances from the actors but they delivered beyond my expectations. It's all about what suffering people have to take to suppress their inner pain. And also it busted many myths regarding vampires. A must watch. A great treat for the senses. 10/10
