Simply Amazing

Love every bit of this show. Has good moral messages, suprisingly similar to 'The Durrells'. Worth the watch. The acting and script were brilliant If you are thinking of watching, be open-minded, and some of humour, more adult orientated will go over young people's' head Have fun watching this series. Fingers crossed for season 2!

My 8yo loves it

Good family show without being too campy (nothing like the Disney channel shows). Covers some tough family topics (my wife tears-up a bit sometimes), but keeps things light hearted overall. My 8 year old loves it and my wife and I enjoy watching it with him.

Sweet series

All of our three boys age 13,12,10 loved this series .. they want to read the books! Teaches good moral Values and life lessons... wholesome but funny at the same time and Witty! Deals with death and learning To overcome and accept the death of a loved one in a very sweet day

Disappointing

Simply put, the movie was a disappointment. The book is a good, old-fashioned classic. The series is far too modern and uses the book as an entertainment object and a diversion from grief. The episodes were rather emotional and sad. The grandmother was a wild woman and there were multiple innuendos that were not appropriate for the TV-Y7 rating. I will not be showing this to my pre-teen boys. While the story line was ok, I do not feel that it did justice to the classic nature of the book.
