Shoot the Director

I put the blame squarely on the director for ridiculous acting, especially at the beginning. As the movie develops, you can actually see some of it improving, but there's not onw actor in this film that comes off well and the movie did have potential to be a fair rom/com, though never a great one.

Oh, I didn't realize it was a Hallmark...

...well that explains everything. Just awful. The acting is poor, and I'm sad that the 3 main male actors had to stoop to get THIS work. Thank God Hollywood is shut down for now!!!

Cute show thank god Erik Strada was in it.

While it won't win any major award it was your typical hallmark romantic movie. With a little twist. It was nice to see Erik Strada perform again. He should have been a bigger star.

He Had to Win the Lottery?

What a waste. Nadine Velasquez can be funny, but the script gives her nothing, bottom of the barrel.

The story has her dad wanting her married to inherit his fortune. Why did the script have the father winning the lottery? Why couldn't it have him be a successful businessman? There's some not subtle prejudice there.

Any humor or whimsy is lost by bad direction as well. You can almost hear the performers waiting after each line for the laugh track to be inserted. Without it, it's painfully unfunny.

If you want to watch just to look at Velsaquez, there are better choices. My Name Is Earl reruns, or her nude scene in Flight.

Cute and charming

Ignore the TV movie haters. Look at the ratings chart- more "10"s than any other rating.

I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. It was cute, charming, intelligent, not clearly derivative of other "marriage gimmick" movies.

It has a Latino cast - all of whom are top extremely pleasant Latino TV talent. I thought the leads Velasquez, Consuelos, and Estrada all did fine acting jobs.

Yes. You kinda knew where this was headed - like all such similar plot movies, but it was an enjoyable ride, and I was engaged throughout.

For a charming light hearted romantic comedy, it's just what you're looking for.

Highly recommend!
