Future Fear is an intriguing indie sci-fi anthology that offers a collection of thought-provoking narratives set in a dystopian future. With its ambitious storytelling and creative approach, the film presents a series of interconnected segments that explore themes of survival, technology, and human resilience.
The film's atmosphere is immersive, making effective use of lighting, sound, and cinematography to create a sense of tension and unease. Despite its indie budget, Future Fear finds ways to bring its world to life, using a mix of practical effects and creative visuals.
The performances are solid, with the lead delivering an engaging portrayal that helps ground the more abstract elements of the story. While some segments feel stronger than others-a common trait in anthology films-the overarching narrative ties them together in an intriguing way.
For fans of independent sci-fi, Future Fear offers a unique experience. It may not have the polish of big-budget productions, but its ambition and storytelling make it worth a watch for those who appreciate thought-provoking sci-fi with an experimental edge.

No need to watch the entire movie.
5 minutes of it was enough to understand how poorly the actors are. The editing is terrible. Everything is made of plastic and you can clearly see it. I try to watch some other scenes in the movie to see if it was about to be better, but you can bet your salary it is not. It seems to get worse and worse. This ain't a movie, this is a primary school long métrage.
Very bad.
If you want to waste your precious with a good apocalyptic movie, there are plenty of them. I strongly recommand anything but this one. I am pretty sure my deaf dog can make a better movie, and can act way better than these actors.

Sure, when I sat down to watch the 2021 sci-fi horror "Future Fear" (aka "Stellanomicon: Future Fear"), I must admit that I wasn't really sure what to expect here. I hadn't even heard about the movie prior to getting to sit down to watch it. I have to say, though, that I was suckered in by the movie's cover.
And let me just say that this was bad. Really, really bad. The storyline felt like it was written by a pre-teen as a term paper. It was just ludicrous that writer and director Ken May managed to churn out something as ridiculous as "Future Fear" turned out to be.
I am sure that the idea was well-meant and that the concept sounded great in the head of writer and director, but the transition from idea to screen was just horrible.
The special effects in the movie were awful to look at. It felt as if they didn't even bother with attempting to make it look realistic. And how such effects get a clearance stamp in post-production is just beyond my comprehension.
The acting in "Future Fear" was every bit as wooden, rigid and cringe-worthy as the rest of the movie. So at least they were on point with that.
If you enjoy sci-fi horror movies, don't waste your time, money or effort on this one. There are far, far better movies out there in the sci-fi horror genre.
I am rating "Future Fear" a generous two out of ten stars. At least they tried, I suppose. And I bet they had fun making this cheesy movie. But in terms of it being an entertaining or enjoyable movie, then it was just a swing and a miss.

I'm jealous! I said it!
Never did I ever imagined funding is available to make this level of crap in film!
How did May do it? Who does he know?
Calling this a scifi film is like calling a seahorse a rabbit.
High schoolers write, produce and direct better knock-knock jokes than this.
Go back to flipping burgers. PLEASE!
