This nail-biter thriller had me on the edge of my seat for practically the entire movie. The subject matter is very current and writer/director Mike Nell did a great job of presenting his story. The cast is very talented and performed their roles solidly. I definitely recommend people view this. It is very entertaining!
Powerful movie , realistic and retraces the reality police using sometimes unnecessary force and deadly action. The movie lacks better script , dialogue or something, I don't think it's the actors , could have been a great movie but still important to watch and glad I did.
When you train in those so call academies for 12 week and you call them police officers (in common sense societies they are train for a minim of 18 months to 3 years), when you need SWAT for a domestic dispute, when ....... your cities in 2020 looks like Fallujah and police looks like occupation force, then you have a problem. and I didn't even mention that instead of providing first aid the police officer was preoccupied to handcuff, Really? The problem is training, unions, insurances, local politicians and that is just the beginning, the so call defund the police is not the solution.
I don't know why it got such bad reviews. I loved this movie. Greatly figured out necessary circumstantial actions which may end up wrong. Worth watching. Ignore the adverse comments. There are many unanswered questions. What happened to the boys? Why FBI didn't intervene in the case?
Just finished watching this film, "Blindfire" and I must say that I haven't watched a good quality film which delivers an important message in a while and this is absolutely one of them. Worth it!
From the cinematography, to the actors/actresses, the location, down to the music, everything just looks so fantastically done. A lot of thought and hardwork was reflected on how good the film is and it truly did not disappoint. There's no dull moment and it's a crime-thriller film so it will put you in the edge of your seat.
The film also bravely tackles a rather sensitive ongoing issue about racial discrimination. People can easily have a mental bias towards a person of color and its a very timely thing to discuss openly so that people won't just make rash decisions and judgment towards anybody. The film teaches us how to have a sense of accountability in each actions we commit and to know that it has a corresponding consequence. But most of all, it instills in us that there is hope that a person can change for the better in the end.
I will give this film a rating of 10 out of 10, a definite must-watch for someone who loves to watch a drama, crime-thriller film with a good message at its core.

- WissenswertesThis was one of Halyna Hutchins' final feature films as a cinematographer before her tragic death on the set of Rust: Legende des Westens (2024). Many have noted the eerie similarity between the film's title and Hutchins' death by way of an accidental gunshot.
