You Tell Me

I'm new to New York and my girlfriend and I really enjoy doing "NYC things" every once in a while. So... we went to a Yankee game in September, the MET in October, the Thanksgiving Day Parade in November, ice skating at Rockefeller Center in December and a film festival last month. Every activity more fun than the next... However, I'm a movie kind of guy and really enjoyed the film festival the best. A movie called "You Tell Me" was the feature we enjoyed the most. I'm sure I missed some of the film because I was busy laughing over a lot of the dialogue. I remember thinking that this movie that I had never heard of is funnier than most of the big studio flicks they mass produce and make hundreds of millions of dollars out these days. My girlfriend and I also liked it because one of the characters in the film was just like a friend of ours, so weird. So, if you like romantic comedies, movies in general or just want to do a "NYC thing", go see "You Tell Me"... and I'm not saying this for my health.

Saw this film in Beverly Hills festival recently and was pleasantly surprised. The truth is I am not a fan of the Indy films coming out of the big apple these days. So when I saw this New York flick on the schedule I was turned off... This film is a very nice combination of witty comedy and a nice sentimental sweetness that seems to come through in Josh Cary's acute eye. The film is filled with wonderfully complex relationships that hit home with a shrewed honesty. For me this film was filled with a ton of heart and a real insight into relationships. Carry on Josh Cary, carry on I can't wait to see whats next for you sir.
