Beautiful Cinematography, great story

The setting of Bulgaria lends great validity to the story. There are many American Campaign consultants who work throughout the world and in the Eastern Bloc that blur the distinctions between the right and wrong and serve only their narrow financial interests. The cast is wonderful and drive the story. I have traveled the world and my experience with US Embassy personnel "going native" is captured perfectly. Too often the US meddling in the local political scene represents the interests of the Embassy maintaining the status quo versus what may in fact be in the best interest of the home country. Loftus captures this dynamic perfectly.

I really enjoyed this film.

Slow and boring

This movie is not known not because it is a hidden gem, but because it is extremely boring. The acting is bad, the sound is undecipherable and the characters are caricatures. I do not recommend this film at all.
