SEASON 1 (4/5)
Rick and Steve is a pretty hilarious show, which goes so far into the stereotypes and the provocative humor that it actually sounds smart. Yes, it's full of LGBT stereotypes, but they are the ones from their own LGBT community; this is not how straight people make fun of gay and lesbians, this is how they make fun of themselves.
The jokes are offensive; it's really a product of the time. Speaking of it, I'm not a fan when the jokes refer to the Pop culture at the time, whether you don't fully understand the joke anymore or it didn't age well. They still balance their dubious humor and stereotypes, which some genuinely talk about gay and lesbian relationships.
SEASON 2 (3.5/5)
The humor and very profane views and the gay communities and issues are still as strong as the first season, but not all episodes are good this time.
The show tries to be a little more ambitious sometimes, but the results are annoying musical numbers (the whole Magician of Oz episode was a pain to get through), bigger but empty decors, and too many pop culture references that don't stand the test of time.
I enjoyed it, and I was frustrated by the cliffhanger that will never be resolved, apparently. Rick & Steve is a product of its time, but I fairly think it should have a bigger following; it's genuinely funny, provocative, and sometimes clever.

The premise for the show is OK but the execution is way off the mark. The voice work is not very good and the writing is terrible, with some very weak jokes and boring stories you can guess right off the bat. Decent animation but that doesn't save this.
I cannot believe this show has a 5.5 rating. HEY BIGOTS GIVING IT LOW RATINGS: HAVE YOU EVEN WATCHED IT!? I laughed out loud literally EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE, and was SO SAD when it ended!
