Cinéastes de notre temps

The show ran for 53 episodes from 1964 to 1972 on the ORTF network, created and produced by André Labarthe and Janine Bazin. Labarthe and Bazin revived the series in 1989 under the title Cinéma, de notre temps (1989), and it ran for an additional 37 episodes on the ARTE network until 2001. After Bazin passed away in 2003, the series was revived temporarily by Labarthe under the same new title for 1 more episode in late 2003 produced for the new Cinécinéma. It was revived again briefly by Labarthe and Cinécinéma in 2006 for 2 more episodes. Finally the series started up again regularly in 2009, still with the new title and again with Labarthe as producer for Cinécinema, and they continue to produce more episodes.
