That's about it, the rest of this review is basically filler! I would say that the Jerry subplot was not so strong, and I could not summon much enthusiasm for the painting subplot.
More? Well, Michael Richards always impresses with his physical comedy skills, Julia Louis Dreyfus shows impeccable comic timing, George the perfect straight-man. And Jerry the gravitational center the planets revolve around.
Extremely underrated, "The Gymnast" may well be my favorite episode from Seinfed's 6th season. First and foremost it's noteworthy for Ian Abercrombie's performance as Mr. Pitt; he truly steals the show in this episode, and his final scene alone is one of the season's most laugh out loud hilarious moments.
He's not alone though. Michael Richards and Jason Alexander are at their best. In addition, Romanian actress Elina Löwensohn is terrific as Jerry's girlfriend-of-the-week, and their final conversation is fantastic, even if it makes no sense at all.
Its about George striking out with his gf. Jerry dating a gymnast, Kramer passing a kidney stone and Elaine well nothing much.
This episode is funny because of george everything else is ok. Jerry gymnast store felt dull.
What can be learned?: Don't eat garbage from the garbage
Verdict: classic episode.

- WissenswertesIan Abercrombie, who played Mr. Pitt, really couldn't work out how to see that 3-D picture until the actual audience taping. He became so excited to finally see it that Larry David told him to calm down, they had a show to tape.
- PatzerMr. Pitt says he is on the Board of Trustees of the water company involved in a merger. Board of Trustees is used only for non-profits. He would actually be on the company's Board Of Directors.
- Zitate
Cosmo Kramer: Jerry, you stand on the threshold to the magical world of sensual delights that most men dare not dream of.
Jerry Seinfeld: Boy, you can really talk some trash.
Jerry Seinfeld: [to George] I guess that's better than eating it.
